Food was good and came out super fast. It's not the best breakfast you've ever had but I would have no problem going back
The atmosphere inside is small but it?s nice and clean and a little diner. For the food. I got the crabby Benny (crab cake eggs... Benedict) with pancakes as my side and my friend got a salad. I also got a smoothie. While the portions weee a great size andthe prices were pretty standard, the food was pretty average. I wouldn?t say bad, but not great and I probably wouldn?t go back.The smoothie I 100% do not recommend. It was supposed to be banana, blueberries and spinach. It tasted like pure orange juiceand honestly was pretty gross. For $4 I didn?t touch it. The waitresses were nice but definitely weren?t going the extra milefor anyone. Flashed a smile and a hello and came and checked up on us once. The busser men and women did way more of the workfilling drinks and taking care of dishes. For a diner, there?s definitely better in Berkley but it?s a decent place with decentfood and decent prices. All around average. Read more
Absolutely love it here. As a Berkley resident I love coming to this quaint spot, that has absolutely delicious breakfast! I... never get tired of the omelette and sweeter options like French toast and pancakes - they?re sooo good. Also love the Greeksalad! Always have wonderful service with smile, too! Read more

I have wanted to come to check the Golden Grill out for a while now. The first couple of tries the parking lot was full, so I... didn't get to try it. But today I went to lunch a little later, and it is Monday. I was excited today when I pulled up and lotsof spots open. I ordered the lunch special was Fish and Chips with Chicken noodle soup. Great price for simple food, good service, and a really nice atmosphere in an updated building. Typical plate was $7-8 and only... a couple bucks more for some great coffee. The kid pancakes were fun too. Plus, the location on 11 Mile helps fill a demand forrestaurants in this part of town. Give it a try. Read more
My wife and I LOVE this little diner! Amazing food, great staff, and good pricing! We come here every time we're in Berkeley.
