They bake their own bread and pastries fresh everyday. Quality of everything is very high, fresh ingredients, delicious toast,... and great coffee. The consistency of the coffee is great throughout, even as you continue to drink it. Fun little spot to hangout and grab a coffee/toast. My only issue is that students come and use all the tables and just drink a black coffee for hourswhile doing their school work and don?t allow others to sit. It would be nice if time per table were limited to 30 min so thateveryone has a chance to sit and it doesn?t become a stake your territory for hours type of thing. It?s not the library, peopleshould be considerate of others, especially if you?re alone, you?ve finished your coffee, and you?ve been there for awhile! Read more
I had the Avo toast but unfortunately the bread wasn?t noticeably toasted, and it had ?everything? spices on it, whereas some... chili pepper flakes are traditional and would be better. Overall I had a great experience here at States Coffee. The customer service is very welcoming and they are very friendly. I... tried the Vanilla Latte that was good coffee but I was not impressed. They have amazing loafs and pastries. They have greatindoor seating with minimalist design. Read more
States Coffee x Bread knows their, well, coffee and bread. Their espresso is beautifully extracted, and their house-made syrups... aren?t overly sweet. The spelt baguette is out of this world good, as are their other pastries. Cool atmosphere, plenty ofseating, great location, excellent coffee, not at a ridiculous price point. Have been fans of States since an accidental visit to their roasters in Martinez. Was so happy to find them in Oakland a year... ago and now on San Pablo with beautiful (temporarily blocked) space and an in-house bakery. Bread is great. Pastries great. Andcoffee is on point. Read more
The almond croissant was cold and not flaky. Most disappointing. The scone flavour is good but cold. The lemon poppy is the... best of all. the coffee is okie at that price point. the place, decor and staff are really nice which is the stars for. Read more
