Reviews for PUNJABI DHABA in Berkeley, CA
Wanted to try this place since I love Punjabi food. The Chole bhature was very bland and the dough inside seemed raw, it made me... very sick. The samosas is were okay but not fresh and hot. Spent over $20 for this, very disappointed overall. Read more
So amazing. Must try the chicken coconut curry if you can?t have dairy like me. The staff was super nice and accommodating to my... dairy intolerance. Read more
I work in the neighborhood and this may be my new favorite lunch spot. The "Indian Burrito" menu is great for students on-the-go... or people looking to pick up something fast, but they should ad a disclaimer: You will be full and sleepy after. Read more
Om and Arun Uncle are so nice! They have excellent vegan options. They can make items without dairy. Also they do not use hing,... so many of the items are gluten-free. For example the veg biriyani can be made, without maggi masala if you ask, so it will begluten-free. Also the fried veg pakora is besan flour. And you can ask them not to put chaat masala. Then it would begluten-free. Really nice people. very good food. Read more
Friendly and professional service. Generous portions and tasty food. I always get the chicken tikka masala and enjoy it. Please... note that there is limited indoor seating but ample outdoor seating. I highly recommend this place for Indian food in Berkeley! Read more
The snacks are good, like Samosa chola etc. But the amount of curry in entrées is very very less. This time we ordered paneer... tikka. There were 5 pieces of paneer in $12.5, let alone the taste. It?s just tikka sauce with paneer in it. Read more
the fact that they add achar (pickle) with your chole bhature, and butter on roti makes it easily the best Punjabi restaurant... I?ve been to in the Bay Area. great attention to detail and tastes amazing too! (coming from a native Punjabi) Read more
