The risotto was very tasty! The restaurant is a bit pricey but to be fair, most Italian restaurants in the Bay Area are... pricey! The staff was super friendly and the restaurant is very breathy even inside because they have two huge windows. Service was terrible. Our waiter was very slow and forgot about us multiple times. We had to ask the hostess to bring our check.... Multiple other tables around us were complaining about the service as well. My wife's pasta was beyond undercooked and mylasagna was basically soup. Avoid if you value your time and money. Read more
The restaurant is located in a place with parking so it’s easy to find and stay. Tables and restrooms are clean. Good... selection of music and adequate volume. Food is great and beverages as well. They have small pizzas and pasta for kids. Dessertswere amazing. I definitely recommend it, although is a little pricey, it is just worthy. Read more
It was our first time here. We were greeted with a smile and walked immediately to our table. We did wait a bit before being... served, but it was busy being mothers day. Upon ordering the drinks and food came out quickly, and it was delicious. Theportions were good, i didn't finish mine. Make sure you leave room for dessert!!!! Read more
Italy on Gilman is a large, bustling restaurant that opened in July 2021. It spans two floors, with indoor and outdoor seating,... and a bar. I had tortellini in cream sauce with peas and added house-made meatballs. It was excellent. The service wasfriendly. I'd gladly come back. Read more
One of the best Italian restaurants around the Bay Area in my opinion and I’m not that easily pleased. Lovely ambience- great... for date nights, birthdays and anniversaries. Most importantly, so many vegetarian friendly options that it was a delight!! Ihad the vegetarian lasagna which is hard to get in most restaurants and it was fantastic! Great wine list including small familyowned Italian wineries. Garlic bread for the table was a great small bite before the entree and the chocolate lava cake was theperfect end to the meal. Had the Tesla in for service and decided to walk around and check things out while I was there. Ended up having lunch at Italy... on Gilman and was very pleasantly surprised. I hadn't checked out reviews...usually dont for an impromptu stop. The food wasvery tasty and well presented. I had the steak sandwich and salad. The steak was perfectly cooked, seasoned well, and wasntoverwhelmed by the artisan bun or anything else. The salad was great and consisted of a nice mix of greens, toppings, and adrizzle of dressing. Very well balanced! Also had a drink that I cant remember the name of, but I think it was the only rumdrink on the menu. It was equal to the food. Great job! Read more
We ordered the Chicken Marsala and Lasagna with a side of meatballs and a glass of Sangria. Damn good! I will be going back,... this is my #1 rest for Italian food. Meatballs were nice and juicy, lasagna was juicy, cheesy, hot and flavorful with a niceportion (I ate the meatballs with the lasagna ????). Sangria was delightful, Marsala was tasty. Next time, I will get thelasagna again, sangria, meatballs and will explore something else on the menu. Go! You won't be disappointed! Read more
