Reviews for East Bay Provisions in Berkeley, CA
Very tasty, albeit pricey, but what do you expect from a cafe at the Claremont Hotel?
The food was quite good, but the parking situation was crazy. Nine dollars for 16 minutes of parking? What on earth? If this... were a private club restaurant, that?d be fine, but it?s deliberately advertised with street-facing signs for the public. Thebakery did not offer parking validation. Won?t be visiting again unless I?m doing it on foot. Read more
For a small cafe it has a delightful menu selection. The sandwiches were surprisingly tasty and fulfilling. Great views really... top it off ! Read more
Service is extremely friendly here, I?ve never had a bad interaction with the staff. The coffee served is Equator coffee which... is not too bitter but not too bland; just the way I like it. The pastries are massive and so good. I definitely wouldrecommending allowing yourself this treat. The decor here is aesthetically pleasing to the eye and they have a wonderful windowthat allows you to look outside and on a clear day, you can see San Francisco. There are chairs inside but there are lawn chairsset up outside that you are welcome to sit on. The only reason why I didn?t give this place 5 stars is because a latte was $7which to me is overpriced. And yes, I know it?s overpriced because it?s the Claremont but I think $7 for a coffee is a bitoutrageous. Other than that, I would definitely come back again. In terms of parking, I was able to park in the parking lot andthere was plenty of parking here. Instagram: @florazambakari Read more
Originally, I tried to go to the super famous bakery down the street, but it was incredibly crowded so I came here. I ordered... the chocolate au pain croissant, and it was absolutely delicious! So filling and so tasty. Read more
View is nice, chocolat croissant amazing ($6), our sandwiches were definitely not worth a 5 star and we were coming in for a... desert posted on Instagram that they only did last week so pretty disappointing :( Read more
Beautiful bright interior with lovely views of the Claremont Club grounds and newly designed interior. I love their sandwiches... and pastries. Good place to grab coffee, a bottle of wine, local artisan goods or a fresh juice. Read more
Three stars for service but not for food. The baked goods are amazing. They have huge ovens right on premises and appear to... bake nearly everything themselves. Croissants and muffins are really over the top great. And the place smells terrific in themorning. Coffee service, however, is really, really slow. In the 3 days we spent at the hotel there were consistently only twopeople on staff and the lines for coffee were long. Be prepared. Maybe order a huge muffin first and munch on it while youwait ... ? Read more
