Have you ever wanted a miserable experience at a hotel? Well you have found it. The room i booked was for two twins and was... given a full because they gave away a room i booked 6 months ago. So was unable to sleep due to sharing a bed with my sister andwe don?t fit. No compensation was given for this error and Personally I think a refund and a credit should be given. Overall thehotel smells like mold and is a POS. Defiantly not worth staying at and should be bulldozed. Stay ANYWHERE but here. Read more

Not your usual hotel experience, BCC echoes (sometimes almost literally) with the past. The rooms and public spaces would suit a... tale about a genteel family fallen on slightly hard times. A few faded carpets and unsteady furniture, however, only add to thecharm. Don?t expect a TV or fancy HVAC system, but do enjoy the experience. Read more
Nice place. Staff is great. One issue I have is staff has no diversity no people of color. Well one working in the kitchen you... wouldn't know she existed. If you want the 1950s dorm experience then this is the right place for you! The location and the staff are nice, but the value... for the money can?t overcome the tiny room, almost nonexistent water pressure, and lack of in room amenities. Read more
Positive: Beautiful inside, charming, historic. Negative: There is no AC in the rooms and no mention of when booking. The... windows only open so much to let air in and when you do you can't sleep because of the noise outside. I finally called thefront desk and they let me know there was a fan in the closet. Absolutely a beautiful space. I only stayed one night but what an amazing visit. The staff is super friendly. Room 405 has a... fabulous view. Watching the clouds above the Bay floating is lovely. The room is very cute and clean. If you want an uniqueexperience I highly recommend Berkeley City Club. Read more
Honestly a true disappointment. The manager on shift was an absolute nightmare and the hotel knows it and does nothing to fix... the issue. My sister coordinated thousands of dollars worth of wedding stay/photos/family time in this hotel and the managertreated us like thieves saying we had no reservations and took time out of our busy actual wedding day schedule to have usvalidate. We allowed it to fly to not upset them, loosing precious preplanned hours for wedding activities. However, when wereached out to management later on the did absolutely nothing to mitigate our terrible experience. We reached out 4 times withintwo months and they left us in the dark. The hotel might look nice, but the people running it overall are absolutelyunprofessional and disrespectful. The saddest part is it?s still happening and we were left in the dark with an absolutelydisgusting after-taste reminiscing from our experience at this hotel. Read more
