Came here for a company get-together, and had a wonderful experience. Firstly, the staff were so friendly and helpful, always... checking up on us and making sure everything was good. The appetizers were fantastic. My favorite was the cheesy bread thing,not even sure what it really was. For my entree, I got the filet mignon and it was great. Lastly, the dessert, the mousse cake,was the best part of the night. I absolutely loved it. Overall, great experience here. My only complaint was the onion rings,they were huge but just not for me. My wife and I were excited to try River Grille for my birthday. The manager and our server were great, which is why we didn't... complain. The food was all a let down. My Ribeye (medium rare) was not flavored aside from the pepper, dry, no char, very rarein the middle and tough. Wife's prime rib was overcooked and tough not well flavored either. Our potato wedges were veryburnt/extra crispy (I didn't mind, I like burnt potatoes) but they were def not for the liking of most including mywife. Macaroni was overcooked/burnt and had zero sauce. Onion rings were huge so some people may like the extra large amount ofonion to batter ratio it wasn't our thing. Mushrooms were okay - according to my wife (I'm not a mushroom guy). Soup was goodflavor - small cup but she ordered a bowl. Caesar salad was good, but watered down and small for the price. They did give me afree dessert for my birthday which was very kind. We both had high hopes from reviews and obviously the premium prices similarto a Ruth Chris or Flemings but sadly it missed the target completely. If I'm rating this on service, 5 stars. Value wasobviously a 1 star because the food was not good for the higher-end price, so 1 star. But I am rating on quality and taste offood, so it's a sad 1 star. Read more
I?ve been meaning to visit River Grille for years and it was well worth the wait. Everything was fabulous! Our server John (or... Johnny) was so thoughtful and professional. The chef (Ryan) did an amazing job with my pork chop and my friend?s salmon - cookedto perfection. I can?t wait to go back. Oh! Really liked this place. Sorry no photos on this one. Atmosphere was great. Servers were attentive and polished. Food was good.... The Mac-n-cheese and Risotto were my favorite sides. I?m not a steak lover, I always go for the fish and the Blackened Mahi wasexcellent. Not where I would go on a regular basis but it was great to have a quiet evening with colleagues. Would recommend.
