So my wife and I were super hungry and had a 25 min wait till our table was ready next door to Markham & Fitz on Sunday. We... walked inside and were greeted by Rachel and another female worker. They were so passionate about the product that I ended upgetting numerous chocolates and Rachel paired my purchases with an amazing chocolate old fashioned. I got a tour of the businessand learned about about how the source their cacao sustainably. Super cool place that I highly recommend. I can only rate on the hot chocolate as I haven?t tried their bars or truffles. Love the atmosphere and the authentic chocolate... smell when you walk in. I love dark chocolate and usually make my own hot chocolate with a blend of sugar and cocoa powder butthey have mastered it. My husband, dad and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour of their chocolate making process! Michael was so enthusiastic and great... with his explanations. We had so many chances to taste their creations and they were scrumptious. Couldn?t resist buying moreas we checked out - just had to buy a piece of the 6 layer chocolate cake (it was divine), multiple chocolate bars and even someof the chocolate tea. So glad we visited! Love that we have a bean to bar shop here. Stop by and take a tour. Friendly knowledgeable staff. I've had the opportunity to... take a few classes and they are always fun and informative. Besides all the amazing chocolate bar concoctions they also havewonderful baked treats. Creme brulee, chocolate layer cake, tarts, cookies, truffles and caramels. I called them ahead of time to see if they used Red 40 in any of their products. I was told they did not, which was great news.... If anyone has a sensitivity and/or allergy to synthetic dyes then you understand the joy. I would like to know for a fact that Ican have everything there without having a reaction. They have a variety of chocolate goods such as cookies, chocolate bars,truffles, etc. They have shelf items you can take home that may make great gifts for Chocolate-Loving friends.
