Love the breakfast, all day long, and good stuff. But the baked beans and bbq, well.... I like something different. A bit more... spices and flavors. I mean I like sweet bbq too... But it's a down home old Benton, local owned business. Stop in, check it out.Great ppl, great waitresses, great local atmosphere! Read more

Can you really call it bbq when the brisket is baked, not smoked? Haven't tried anything else on the menu, but the brisket was a... disappointment. Read more

The food is AMAZING!! Staff is also very polite and friendly. Only thing we didn't like, was all prices on the menu are marked... out. Was informed it was due to the continuous rising of cost of food. Read more

Let me first say this is a Hometown restaurant with dedicated daily customers. So reviews that I see are from their dedicated... Customers, more than likely many, many years and generations. But to give this restaurant more than two stars for my TravelingFriends would be misleading and that is not what we are trying to create . Not speaking for all that was with me , just for myreview, so here goes ...I ordered pulled pork with 2 sides. When I received my order the pulled pork was chopped and dry, horrid stuff , I believe I was served the bottom of the barrel, instead of just saying we are out of that. I did not send itback, because it should have came out in eatible condition to begin with. The 2 sides were okay at best. Staff was friendlyenough. The cook or dishwasher kept coming out and explaining to a waitress the history of Roman's and Vikings all for theentire restaurants listing pleasure.. So if you need some bad food and a side show eat here, if not find another exit , we aremarking this one off our list . Read more

My wife & I are regular customers here. You can always expect, like many other million dollar chains, familiarity. The flavors... are consistently GREAT. I dont eat BBQ, NOR PORK, as per my religious practices, but there is PLENTY for my family to choosefrom here... And its DELICIOUS. Service is always GREAT. Food is likewise great. A few mistakes are made on occasions, but theyare human... it happens. I look forward to seeing them expand and grow. The photos show a few of the inconsistencies... 1overloaded sandwich, served alongside another sandwich that is only a half sandwich. Great flavor (little light on the saucethough)! Read more

I had the fried chicken with mashed potatoes and baked beans. I was disappointed with the fact it was only 2 legs, and they... didn't have much meat on them, BUT they were really good. I was disappointed because I actually wanted MORE. A leg and a breastwould've been more sufficient. The mashed potatoes were instant which was a bit disappointing since this is a small town inKentucky and I'm always on the search for those hole in the wall places with excellent food. The baked beans were surprisinglygreat. I also got the blackberry cobbler, which seemed to be a very small helping, but I have yet to eat it (I got my entiremeal to go). Seemed like a decent little place and I look forward to trying more things there. I've lived here for about a yearand a half and have only tried 2 of the about 4 BBQ joints in town. I wasn't overly impressed but I'll definitely go back andgive it another go. They didn't have any to go menus so I took pics of the menu with my phone. The desserts aren't listed on themenu but rather on a board that apparently changes daily (I wanted the peach cobbler but was told it wasn't done cooking yet). Idefinitely prefer these mom and pop places over commercial dining experiences any day! I should've taken pics of the friedchicken dinner but was so hungry I didn't get that far. I'll take a pic of the blackberry cobbler so you can see how small of aserving it is. I spent $14 (including a $1.60 tip, again it was a TO GO order), so as far as the value/amount of food for that $amount, it was disappointing (big city that would be a value but come on, this is Benton Kentucky we're talking about here).
