Reviews for Treehouse Tavern in Bent Mountain, VA
The Treehouse Tavern is the best reincarnation imaginable for this beautifully-sited mountaintop restaurant and gathering place.... The owners, Scott and Leigh Markam, are area natives and have long experience in some of our oldest and best eateries andwatering holes.\nOur third meal here was a Saturday lunch which could not have been more satisfying. Local beer on tap. Greatpulled pork barbecue-topped, local beef burger sandwich. A dynamite mushroom and Brie cheeseburger. Locally grown potatoes, withfried crispy outsides with buttery soft insides. We couldn?t even think about fitting dessert in but we probably will eatdessert first next time we go.\nOur first two meals were just as good and included a wonderful margherita pizza, pulled porkbarbecue platter, and a great Cuban sandwich. And an exploration of the very interesting wine list is another of our ?to do? atTreetop items.\nDo check out the Treetop Tavern. Read more
Cute place but still finding their feet. Was excited to find this place after a beautiful drive through the blue ridge parkway,... advertising hearty American food and micro brews, but in the end the experience was unfortunately pretty lackluster. First offthe list of of beers had a very small number of micro brews. I heard good things about the corn bread and wanted to try it so iordered a piece with dinner just to try. After the server took our order I asked her if it would be possible to add a cup ofchili(which also came with corn bread) and take the original corn bread off. She said it was no problem but in the end stillbrought an extra cornbread, when I pointed it out she said it?s because she already sent the ticket through. It?s not a big dealas the cornbread is quite inexpensive but normally you can just take the cornbread off the check as I thought we originallydiscussed. Both mine and my husbands meals were advertised as coming with pickles and his with coleslaw. Neither of them did andwhen I asked the server about the coleslaw she told me it didn?t come with coleslaw even though the menu clearly stated that itdid. I was double checking this when they brought my pickle and asked the girl who brought the pickle if my husband could pleasehave the coleslaw and pickle that came with his. They did bring the coleslaw at this point which was a little over salty but henever got his pickle ???? one other thing is I asked if I could substitute a side salad instead of fries. Again I was told noproblem, but was still charged extra which I don?t mind but it?s nice to be notified beforehand. Fries are already a two dollarup charge but I was charged an additional two on top of that for a salad which is no big deal and I don?t mind but if somebodyasks to make a substitution that costs extra I think it?s ethical to tell them there is an up charge. The restaurant was alsonot busy so there was no reason for these sort of mistakes to be made, with only a few other Read more

We stopped through today while bicycling up the Parkway from Floyd. The staff was super kind and generous and the food was... good. Our group had a margherita pizza and a burger. Both were good and the pizza was huge -- we were hardly able to finishit! The folks there made sure we were able to pedal off with full stomachs and full water bottles. I\'m looking forward tomore stops and sampling more of their menu! Read more
