My better half and I were out running errands and we were looking for a new place. We saw the listing for the Waterside Cafe And... Diner and decided to give it a try. It was a great experience from the time we walked in. There were quite a bit of people inthere but we were able to get a seat at the counter. Our server was a friend of the family that owned it. He was extremelyattentive. My better half is very particular when ordering food and just likes things a certain way. She had an omelette and Ihad a burger. Both meals were very very good and her omelette was prepared exactly the way she likes it! The burger was cookedjust right and it came with french fries and a cup of soup (cream of mushroom) and that was really good! I know people may saythat you cannot mess up a burger but believe me, you can! This is certainly a local gem that has great food at reasonableprices. I highly recommend it if you are in the area! My daughter and I went here for the first time. Our waitress was amazing and friendly. Also gave great recommendations. I... ordered pumpkin pancakes (best I?ve ever had) and she had the French toast with fruit. Loved they had iced coffee in addition tohot coffee and oak and almond milk for people who cant have creamer. We will definitely be back again. Thank you for a greatexperience. Read more
The Westside Cafe is five stars plus! Everything about it was excellent! The food was absolutely delicious and HOT! The soups... were so tasty. We had both the seafood bisque (which had chunks of seafood) and spinach bisque. The best part is that the soupcame when you ordered a sandwich. We each had a sandwich (hot off the grill) that came with fries, coleslaw and a pickle. Thewaitress was so warm and welcoming! She was sharp and attentive. I wish I would have remembered her name. I never write reviews. I ordered online on their website. When I got there they didn't have my order put in. I am an... understanding person. The owner gave me a soup for my wait and it was well worth the wait. The food is AMAZING! the homemademozzarella sticks are out of this world. I can honestly say I'll be back as a regular. I already enjoy my first time experience here. Parking spaces might be a bit limited, but I was here for breakfast/brunch, so... not much cars. I was greeted first thing when I walked in and seated right away. With a baby in the baby carseat, there wereable to accommodate our needs. The menu was filled with many selections. I was debating between Waterside omelette or theMaryland Benedict, which at the end I ordered the seafood omelette because I can eat my omelette and also have jumbo crab meat.The food portion here is quite big. I wasnt able to finish everything myself. Too fulfilling. The food was good. I willdefinitely return and try out their egg Benedict and maybe their lunch menu as well. This is a new place so keep that in mind with my review. So let's go. First the staff is super friendly! Our waitress made jokes... with my kids and was very attentive. Even with some issues with our food at the end the manager/possible owner came to mepersonally to apologize and ask how he could make my dish better next time. With that said the food was kind of 1 star worthy.Their fries were absolutely delicious...but that was it. The country fried steak tasted like a ball of grease covered in flourgravy. The sausage it was swapped for was also a bit tasteless. My son's cheese steak was decent and my other son's chickentenders were just ok. I love local businesses and appreciate the attention they gave to our issues and hope they get better withtime. I will say their eggs benedict looked delicious from what I saw at another table so might try that next time. Wish I couldsay better but will try them again. Read more
This place was one that makes you want to come back for more......whether it's the food, the atmosphere or the workers this... place had it all. We went there for a quick lunch the day before and found out that our lunch was so big we also had for dinnerthat night. So a small group of us about 8 people got there the place was packed but the manager or owner was able to squeeze usin after only about 10 minutes waiting but it was worth it once again. The food was great and the price was even better, I thinkwe only paid like $115 total for 8 people full meals so of course we had to leave a good tip. Read more
