Today I had the pleasure of dining at Schoepf’s BBQ, and I can tell you the food was great and the service was excellent. Miss... Lindsey was amazing. She made sure my daughter and I were comfortable and that we had everything we needed. Good customerservice is hard to find, especially done with care. This is what we got today especially from Lindsey, and it warmed my heart somuch. So sorry I didn’t get the name of the lady that cleaned our table, but thank you to her as well. Good customer serviceall around, but Lindsey gets employee of the year from me.???????????? She was the absolute best???? Keep doing what y’all do.Thank you?? Read more

Nice BBQ joint and the food was great. They closed at 7pm on weekdays so they were out of a few things I wanted. My fault for... eating too late. I will definitely try again. Read more

They say barbecue restaurants (barbecue ‘joints’?) in Texas are like Baptist churches - there’s one on every corner and... visitors usually leave feeling blessed but a little guilty. I have had the pleasure of living in the great state of Texas forseveral years now and I can attest to the ‘blessed but guilty’ emotions. When I visit an Unchained Barbecue restaurant inTexas I really want to try one of everything on the menu because I know it’ll bless my belly. But, I also know that I mightmiss my calorie cap for the day as well. Such was my quandary when I visited Schoepf's BBQ in Belton, TX recently. Schoepf’shas been featured in Texas Monthly Magazine, Food Network, and PBS. That much publicity creates some well-deserved foot traffic.I chose a late lunch hour on a weekday and discovered (as might be expected) that many cuts of meat were already sold out. But,my trusty go-to order of lean brisket and mild smoked sausage were still in good supply. I opted for the sweet sauce with themeat and I paired mac ‘n cheese & potato salad. Meat is ordered in one room and handily placed on butcher paper and a metaltray. Customers then move over to the main dining room and the final serving line. There they pick a side or two and possiblyopt for some yummy dessert. Out back Schoepf’s has built a great outdoor music and party venue. Be sure to check out theirwebsite or Facebook page for a calendar of upcoming events. I highly recommend the next time you're traveling along the I-35parking lot in Central Texas, take a short break in Belton and visit Schoepf's. They'll welcome you with a smile! Read more

Awesome Texas BBQ atmosphere with pretty average food. The meats were very bland even with the different barbecue sauces. The... portions to the price were off as well. The Mac and cheese was tiny and soupy. Definitely much better in the area BBQ wise, butstill a fun place to try. Read more

Really good barbecue and cool authentic Texas environment. We went on a Friday and saw a live acoustic country music show, which... was excellent! The brisket, ribs, and sausage were all great and the sides and desserts were pretty good as well. Definitely trythe sopapilla cheesecake! The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is the price. For the BBQ tray in my picture in addition to a fewsides, drinks, and nachos it cost me over $90 for three of us to eat, plus whatever we tipped. If that doesn't bother you, thisplace is definitely worth a try, especially during one of their live shows. EDIT: Changed this to a five because I attendedSchoepf's Backyard 4th of July party, and this place is an awesome local venue that is absolutely worth checking out. They haveexceptional BBQ and live music shows often. I just moved to the area and will frequent this place often. Read more

Absolutely amazing food. Extremely friendly employees. This place cannot get enough credit that I can offer. Great pricing for... some real barbecue. We spent about 90 bucks to feed two adults our 10-year-old boy, and 3-year-old boy our eyes were bigger thanour stomach we ended up taking the rest of it home and have plenty for dinner. We end up getting a pound and a half of moistbrisket, two jalapeno and cheese sausage links, a stuffed jalapeno popper, large macaroni and cheese, medium beans, small cheesypotatoes, small green beans, two slices of cheese and drink for us .It was amazing that you can actually taste the meat and notoverpowered with seasonings or spices. Everything was served to perfection. First time coming here and we will be coming backfor more. Read more

I wish I could say that I loved the brisket. I’ve had better Texas barbecue. The problem is, this place was so hyped up by ppl... who have previously tried it. I’m not saying it’s bad, I’m just saying for the price it costs, I’d rather have thebrisket sandwich at Buccees. The only thing I enjoyed was the sopapilla cheesecake. Prices are truly exacerbated here. It’sgood quality meat, it’s just that the flavor doesn’t wow. Wish it did though. Ambiance is nice Texas decor. Read more

The custom service was great. Seems like communication is kind of tough on the staff when it comes to customers. The mac n... cheese was so bland I got it home and tweaked it with some seasoning and saved the day! The pull Pork was tasty and the brisketwas amazing. I don’t recall being told pickles would be on my Sandwich I have also tried from pickles so when my sandwich hada time of pickles I was in disbelief. To be told I told you pickles and onions would be on it I said ma’am I am border linedeaf and I suffer with TBI do you want to fix my sandwich or argue with the customer. I do not foresee myself returning in thefuture this was my first and last visit. Read more
