Reviews for Cafe Bliss in Belmont, CA
We appreciate fast & respectful service! Best place for brunch in the area!
Only reason for a 2-star rating: the service on the Sunday afternoon we visited was quite tardy and shambolic. The food(except... the pancake) tasted great. We ordered an omelette, and a pancake along with coffee. We were seated outside and had to wait fora good 20-25 minutes before someone came and took our order. And then we had to wait for quite sometime for our order to arrive. We asked for more coffee and they served us coffee that wasn?t warm at all. Even though they served us hot coffee later, it lefta bad taste. The pancake tasted stale and we couldn?t even finish eating half of it. The omelette and potatoes tastedgreat. They?ve seating both inside and outside. Overall I?d recommend this place, but keep in mind their service which can bequite messed up on some days. Read more

My boyfriend and I were visiting the area and decided to eat brunch here because it was nearby, the food looked good, and we... were starving. I'm SO glad we chose this place for our last minute brunch. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with smilesand a warm welcome from a very sweet lady. We were able to choose to sit anywhere we wanted since it wasn't as busy (1:15pm on aSaturday in case you're wondering). Right away, we were given a chance to order water/drinks, and then proceeded to look at whatfood to order. Their menu has a very wide selection of foods, spanning from breakfast (pancakes, french toast, oatmeal), tobrunch (scrambles, benedicts, crepes), to classic lunch (sandwiches, salads, burgers, etc). Everything looked so appetizing, butI ordered a veggie scramble without the cheese, and fruit with English muffin. My bf ordered the oatmeal with a side of potatoesto share. The service here is so quick - we received our food, piping hot and smelling/looking irresistible, within 15 minutesafter we ordered. The food. Was. Phenomenal. The scramble was everything I want in a scramble: portioned to be satisfying andfilling but not to the point of feeling stuffed, the English muffins were toasted to perfection, and I LOVE that they put thebutter on the side rather than assuming that everyone automatically wants butter on their bread, and the fruit was plentiful, varied, and fresh! My bf's oatmeal was nothing short of the most comforting, warm, rich, and satisfying breakfast bowl I've seenin a while. They even provided milk and brown sugar for him to add -- it was so cute! The potatoes were also amazing. They werecrispy and golden brown at the top, and softer throughout - delicious with and without ketchup and black pepper. Throughout ourfeast, our water glasses were routinely topped off, smiles were abundant, and nothing felt rushed. I also noticed that there isa huge sense of community at this cafe. A lot of the people walking in seemed to be reg Read more
This small cafe, with just one waitress and one coo delivers good quality food. As with many restaurants today, you must be... patient with the waitress. She was very busy but efficient. There were six of us for lunch and we put our drink orders in.Considering the number of customers, I thought the food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. The food was tasty and filling.I recommend this Cafe in Belmont just off Ralston Ave at Alameda de Las Pulgas. Read more
