Traveling through Vermont and chanced upon this wonderful restaurant. The lovely flowers outside attracted our eye and we popped... in for a quick bite to eat. We have been on the road for about a week and I have to say this has been the finest meal we havehad to date. I highly recommend this restaurant to any traveller. Read more

We've had a home 15 minutes from Leslie's Tavern for quite a few years now, but somehow never made it there for dinner. Tonight,... that changed! We had the most wonderful meal, served by the absolutely delightful Leslie, herself! We expected a good meal, based on the reviews we'd read, but what we got was far more than "good." We got a sweet ambiance in a beautiful farmhouse, alovely server, and a meal that was absolutely divine. (We also got to watch Leslie shooing away a fat little chipmunk who wasnibbling on the tomato plants -- the chippie may have been annoying, but boy was he cute! ) The food was the true star tonight- excellent quality, thoughtfully made... rather like elevated comfort food. We both had the steak smothered in onions with awonderful sauce on it. The veggies were crisp and fresh. The people at the table next to us got a salad as a starter, and itlooked amazing! (Mental note made for next time!) Dessert was not to be missed -- the carrot cake was delicious, and the cremebrulee was just as good. My husband had one of the current specialty drinks with dinner and really enjoyed it -- I think it wasa bourbon and maple old fashioned. We told Leslie to expect us back soon -- we plan to become "regulars"! A bonus -- they haveseveral gluten free options, and fully understand the need to avoid cross-contamination for those with a true gluten allergy. Read more

We had early dinner on a beautiful evening and sat on the deck overlooking the garden. Extremely relaxing with a nice drink. I... got the mushroom soup which was outstanding. Our waitress had brought a basket of fresh bread and warned us it was hot out ofthe oven. I used a piece not destined for the olive oil dip to eat with the soup. Dinner was great, pescatore with plenty ofscallops, shrimp and calamari, finished with crème brulee. I believe we have found our new anniversary destination. Read more

Awesome all around! The couple that own it are so welcoming and friendly it shows throughout the restaurant. The building itself... is a pleasure to visit and see inside a nicely renovated old 1800s farm house complete with wood burning stove and I saw a nicepatio outside for the summer but the food is the reason to keep coming back! Everything we ate from the bread with pesto oil tothe soups to the strip steak special then to the carrot cake was OUTSTANDING! We also had a few Fiddlehead IPAs on draft whichwere nicely chilled and raising fresh. Highly reccomend making this a stop if your traveling through on rout 91 just mins fromthe highway and sooo much better than a fast food truck stop. The menu had a few locally sourced products and love supportingsmall businesses! We will most definitely be back. Read more

What a fantastic place we stumbled upon! It was our first time here, as we were visiting for the weekend. We did not know what... to expect, but the menu looked great online. We were pleasantly surprised by the cozy atmosphere right when we walked in thedoor. It has the quintessential antique Vermont feel. We were seated by the fireplace, a wood-burning woodstove. The owner,Leslie, stopped by the table shortly after to greet us. Her husband is the chef, and she told us the story of how it allstarted. We were happy to chat with her, and hear about everything from the start of the restaurant to the signature dishes andcocktails. Now onto the food and drink! First of all, the pomegranate martini was incredible. You have to ask for it. I don’tknow that is going to be a regular offering, as it was a special on the blackboard when we walked in. So glad we tried it, wehad several at the table. The pork chop was the most tender and delicious I have ever had. We learned that the pork came from alocal farm. You can absolutely tell. The butternut squash that was served alongside was also literally the best I’ve ever had.One of the two “secret ingredients”, a little bit of orange juice in it! We had to ask, because it was that good. We alsotried the chicken curry, delicious! The steak was perfect. All of the ingredients are fresh. Each dish is made to order. Itshows! Whenever possible, ingredients are sourced locally. That also shows! We completely loved the atmosphere. Casual, quaint, and cozy. We will definitely be back! Thank you to Leslie and her husband, the chef! It was quite a memorable evening. Read more
