Our server was ok We order our food out grand daughter wanted to eat outside after our order came . So we got up and started to... walk out to the tables . Mind u this was after we paid and tipped our server. This little rude girl spoke up where do u think urgoing w those baskets? I said going to eat outside at the tables . She replied rude again Well make sure they come back in. Love their burgers! I know, its an 'ice cream place...' But I don't think their burgers get enough love.
The food is like a 50's diner. Burgers, fries, seafood, chicken fingers. Prices are fair. The food is average. The service... was slow. One waitress was handling all the tables. She was running around, crazy. Ice cream was good. I got a small vanillasoft serve and it was like a cup of frozen frosting. Very dense. It is a fun little ice cream, burger shop that we would stopagain. Read more
Very fresh ingredients. We had a hot dog, an egg salad sandwich on wheat with all the veggies, and a maple creemee. Service... for ice cream is very fast. Be prepared to wait quite a while for your food order. Read more
Love this place. The seafood on the weekend is second to none and the creemee cone at the end of a great dinner can't be beat.... Memories from the fireworks and beyond still come to the surface while being here. It still lives up to the childhood memories,still has the same great food and ice cream and that alone says a lot about this establishment. Absolutely unbeatable value. The food is good, the ice cream is good, a nice river view, seating inside or outside,... quick/friendly service...for a very reasonable amount of money. I can't think of a single thing to complain about. They havegreat pretzel buns you can upgrade your burger to for $1. OH, and did I mention I'm a VEGETARIAN?! DJ has not one but TWOveggie burger options (both quite good), fried pickles and EGGPLANT FRIES...and excellent sweet potato waffle fries. The star attraction at Dari Joy is, of course, the ice cream. This is a classic New England ice cream place with the walk-up... windows so you can get your maple creemee cone to go. Service is friendly and as fast as possible during busy times. Dari Joy isonly open seasonally from early spring to mid-fall. They stay busy, so expect to stand in line if you're getting an order to-go.But you won't be in line too long. Service is fast and precise. They've never gotten my order wrong. Dari Joy also has a fastfood menu with sandwiches, subs, burgers, clam strips, fries, onion rings, you name it. The food won't wow foodies, but theirprices are very fair and the kids will be perfectly happy with what they order. Plus you'll have room (and the funds) for icecream! Read more
This is such an awesome retro feel place. I didn?t love the ice cream I got but that?s my bad. The prices are relatively cheap... considering how expensive everything is. The quality is about what you would expect given the prices. The burgers are comparablesizes to like a fast food burger, but I believe they are real burger. Two thumbs up for the maple shake though!
