We have been driving by this restaurant for years saying, "we should have dinner there sometime." My boyfriend was celebrating... his birthday soon after, so we decided to stop in. Upon entering the parking lot, we should have picked up on the obvious, andgone somewhere else! It was dinner time, somewhere between 5 - 6 pm, so one would expect to see a few customers other than thetwo of us during our entire two hour stay. Sadighi greeted us with a warm smile and seated us immediately to the farthest tablefrom the front door. His wife came out from the kitchen to say hello. Menus in hand, he proceeded to tell us hisrecommendations. We ordered wine and appetizers and chit chatted for a bit between ourselves. I noticed the spots on theglassware and the old worn tablecloth and napkins. We were sipping on our wine then realized we had been waiting there a whilebefore the hors d'oeuvres were served. In the meantime, Sadighi came over to us and started sharing about the restaurant'shistory and that he and his wife have owned the restaurant for many years... Waiting now over half an hour, the hors d'oeuvresfinally arrived; then within minutes as we were still chewing, our main course arrived. He said if we needed anything more, notto hesitate to ask. He then walked away, stood by the front door of the restaurant, and stared at us as we began eating. Iassumed he was nervous and very eager to please us, standing at attention ready to run over if we called him. My boyfriendraised his hand to ask for a bottle of hot sauce. Sadighi came back with the sauce which was covered with a gunk of years oldsticky kitchen grease and dust !!! We just stared at each other in shock that he didn't even wipe the bottle !! He must have badeyesight not to have noticed this. My boyfriend chose not to say anything but wiped the bottle off himself with the clothnapkin, set it on the table refusing to open it, then wiped his hands on a second napkin. The sauce looked old and didn't evenlo Read more

Wouldn't eat there again, but would tell you to go. Every town has a place that must be eaten at in person in order to be... properly known. In Bellingham, Sadhigis is one such place. I went to Sadhigi's one Friday night with a reservation for 10people. 9 of us showed, and we were seated at two tables of four and five (this is important later). Sadhigi himself is a verypleasant man, though you will need to speak loud and clear, not that the restaurant is particularly loud, in fact it unusuallyquiet. "Relaxing" is what the menu says, and I agree that the ambience is almost spa like in the silence that covers that littlepart of Lakeway drive. Contrary to other reviews we were not the only people there. About five other people came and went as weate. The staff is small and it takes a long time for a staff of approximately two to serve a party of nine at Sadhigi's, so wespent about two hours there in total between arriving and getting our checks, the table of four eating two courses before thetable of five was served. We were told to expect some delay upon making our reservation. The food was okay. I didn't have tocook it myself, and for that I am very grateful. The rice was burned and the chicken dry, and around the table the consensus was"you know, I've had better, but I've also had worse." Overall I enjoyed the night, but that's because it was never about thefood, it was about the people I spent it with. Eating was just an added bonus. That being said, people come to google reviewsfor honesty, so here are some candid lines from my friends after we left the restaurant: "We did it, guys." We then proceeded tohuddle up. "I was mildly uncomfortable the whole time." "I'm so glad to be out of that place." "I felt like I was in a DavidLynch movie." Sadhigi's is surreal, and must be experienced yourself. You can live in Bellingham your whole life and not gothere, or you can stop by and eat local. Sadhigi himself owns the place and has since he converted it int Read more

We ordered from website through Dash and they refused the order through their website. Dash called me back and started the... restaurant refused to honor the order. I called the restaurant directly and old rude, unprofessional man said we had not paidhim and he did not have website. Refused to refund the money ($100). I told him he was a thief and dishonest and we werecalling the legal system. He kept saying he did not understand and he would not refund money. I will have to take up withVisa. This went on for several minutes when I simply wanted refund. I would NEVER recommend this restaurant. I was told theyare supposedly owned by Chicago Mafia. Stay Clear of this establishment. I regret coming to this place. Me and my boyfriend and roommate wasted 55 dollars here on 2 extremely small proportions of... "smoked salmon pasta" and appetizer. The oysters were obviously from a jar from a grocery store, and the pasta had hardly anyfish in it. We left and ended up getting more food somewhere else cause we were still hungry. 6 oysters was 11 dollars and wecouldn't finish them cause they tasted so bad. Not fresh at all. Don't waste your money here. Read more

I've been going to Sadighi's since I moved to Yew St. For years I drove by and wondered why there were never cars there. I... stopped in after a hard day moving. Much to my surprise I found a hidden gem! Great food, atmosphere and Bill Sadighi is a mostengaging host. The menu offers steaks, fish, chicken, Italian fare as well as original recipes. Prices are reasonable. Manylively discussions. I actually helped Bill put in a garden around the restaurant so he could grow organic vegetables for hispatrons. Sadighi's is my go to place for birthdays and other celebrations. I highly recommend Sadighi's for your next dinnerout. Read more

Good food. Eerily quiet. We were the only customers. It was clean. The older gentleman that seated and served us was polite.... Would have been nice to have music in the background. Read more

A hidden gem in Bellingham. Super adorable place. The older gentleman that waited on us was the owner and he was so sweet and... knowledgeable about the menu. The steak was cooked perfectly and the garlic bread was delicious. I wish more restaurants werelike this today, much better than any chain restaurant. I definitely will be returning. Read more

My wife and I dined here when we first moved to Bellingham 15 years ago. We had a very pleasant meal, but it was odd that there... was only one other couple. We came back a few months later, and same experience, except for live piano music. Fast forward to2018 when we joined another couple there for dinner. The only other diners were a young family with kids. They were justfinishing up, and were telling the owner how much they and their children enjoyed the dinner. I would say this is more a placefor adult dining. This is a local family-owned business, and the owner is extremely gracious and welcoming without beingoverbearing. Other reviewers have complained that the place is "dated." To me it is authentic and charming, true to steakhousedining experiences of the 50's and 60's. It is surrounded by beautiful trellised plants and flowers that block out the noise andview of the busy street corner on which it is located. I can't count how many times in recent years that I have complained tomy wife about an otherwise good dining experience being spoiled by loud contemporary music. In contrast, Sadighi's had softtasteful jazz in the background (Miles Davis). Between the four of us we had the Creole seafood dish, a NY steak, steak andprawns, and lamb chops. The owner took the time to make sure our definitions of meat doneness were in synch, and all of ourmeals were cooked exactly as ordered. The accompanying sides of fresh asparagus and rice pilaf were tasty and well cooked. Thegarlic bread and onion soup served before the entrees were nothing memorable, but basic and complementary to the meal. Two of usfinished up with the apple crisp topped with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream---again, nothing to grace the cover of GourmetMagazine, but a satisfying ending to the dinner. Two of us are beer snobs, accustomed to Bellingham's outstanding selection ofcraft beers, but the beer list here consists only of a standard selection of about 20 bottled beers. We had Read more
