Stopped in for lunch the other week and I was pleasantly surprised at the interior. I had only ever gotten take-out, so I didn't... realize what a delightful dining area they had. Food was terrible. Hardly any veggies in the vegetable friend rice. a few slices of onion and 4 under cooked string beans . Pa... Thai same just all noodles and a few chunks of tofu. I love On Rice. I think their flavors are the best in town and the portions are good. However, I?ve been patronizing on rice... since 2010 and just was informed today that they no longer serve rice with dishes. I hope they change it back. Especially sincethere name is literally ?on rice? and their whole thing has always been to serve every meal with rice. It even says so in theirmission statement online. I ordered the basil rice, fried. It was $14 bucks. The veggies were a mix of mixed cut, frozen, some ? fresh?. I specifically... asked for mushrooms. I got three in my dish, slimes, brown and grey. The mix match of veggies included a hunt of zucchini, andmixed carrots ( frozen) an onion slice, tasteless rise. I also asked for spicy, and there was literally none. Stop adding sugar to everything! I ordered lunch, not dessert! This food is DISGUSTING! Pad Thai? Much, much, MUCH too sweet.... Inedibly sweet. Tastes like you covered rice noodles in fake maple syrup! Red curry? Still too sweet. This tastes like meltedSnicker's! Are you trying to give me diabetes? The only edible thing was the Chicken Satay, and even THAT sauce overdid thesugar. Satay is already sweet! Why add more? Two stars only because nobody reads one-star reviews. The food was absolutely delicious was having a great time until the bill came the total was 64.13 tax included, checked my bank... statement and it said 76.13 I was concerned so I asked the lady at the register what happened why did it charge extra. Ihonestly thought she charged extra and she said she didn?t know all she said was that it was maybe my bank, She was right I feltreally bad because she?s so kind and I thought she took out money but it turned out it was my bank. Been wanting to try this place for a couple of weeks. Very disappointed. I ordered Thai BBQ Chicken with sticky rice what I got... was something else. Cold and not worth the money or the drive! Called the restaurant staff was less then helpful.Aftermistakenly telling me the "Thai BBQ with Sticky Rice" did not come with "rice." She amended later and offered give me a "scoop"of rice if I wanted to come back. Not an experience you want after getting off work and driving across town. Never again. Read more
