The guy that cooked in front of us had to be on something. He kept saying that at least we had money to eat. Made everyone feel... very uncomfortable. He started an argument with my cousin and kept asking our waitress for a beer. At first I thought he mighthave been joking around but as the night continued we new he wasn't. He also kept complaining that he had been working all dayand wondered why they kept taking in people. There's a lot more that went down, these are just a few things that happened. I've been to some really great sushi restaurants but unfortunately we didn't enjoy the experience here. The service was... non-existent. Once our server dropped our food off she didn't come back until we were finished, no quality check or anything.(I've been in the industry for 20 years and you should always check in with the table to see if they need anything/if everythingtastes up to standard) aside from that, the price of our rolls were high in relation to the portion size. That alone is enoughreason to not return. We didn't enjoy the taste either. Going to try blue fin next. Read more

Always delicious and fun with a group to watch them prepare food on the hibachi. Equally delicious as takeout. I'm a fan of... their yakisoba and, of course, everyone loves the Bellingham sushi rolls. Read more

Had a fantastic time celebrating a friend's birthday. Our waitresses were great, our chef made great gluten accomodations, and... the owner came out to wish our host a happy birthday. Great time was had by all. Read more

I was a huge regular here years ago and stopped going once ownership changed about 5 years ago. I stopped going because the... owner micromanaged, made cheap swaps, and all the great staff quit. A coworker told me Kyoto got a new sushi chef and the foodis way better now. I went today and it's the same chef from 5 years ago, place looks even more run down, kept hearing themicrowave when they were making my "torched roll" and our rolls were the only ones being made, service ignored us, thetable/chairs/floors were sticky, our fried rice was pretty brutal and no egg in it?, the online menu on their website and instore menu are way off on ingredients and pricing, employee stuff scattered around sushi area, and overall everything justtasted worse than several years ago. I know this place is good for hibachi but nothing more than that. If you want good sushi inBellingham Bluefin- always! Read more

My friends and hubby, love this place but I only like it the service was wonderful and it was fun to watch the cooks do their... show. Next time we go I will just order appetizers, the food was kinda bland and all in the color tan, it wasn't my taste. Read more

The service and food were incredible! We went for a friends 40th birthday and enjoyed a nice family-friendly meal with great... cocktails and delicious hibachi. Steak and seafood were cooked perfectly and the chef was engaging the entire table. The ownercame out and played happy birthday on his guitar while the whole place sang. They also allowed us to serve our own birthday cakeat our table. Another favorite of this experience were the sushi roles we ordered as apps - absolutely delicious! Read more
