Best meal we've had in Bham, and we've had some great meals. Gnochetti pasta (homemade) with sundried toms was last-meal worthy.... "I don't want to keep eating, cuz then it will be gone," she said. Also loved the eggplant panini and the bruschetta. Even thesimple house salad was more than the sum of its simple parts. Our server knew a lot, and he was personable and peaceful. We gotto talking Italy, and he said he was drawn to working at Bar Cicotti because it's modeled after the small places in Italy whereyou can pop in for a glass of wine, espresso, and a delicious bite from a simple menu. He also told a story about one of thewines, a varietal that Italians had thought extinct until they recently discovered it in some guy's back yard and revived it. Read more
Great spot to post up with a coffee AND wine! They always have an excellent wine selection on hand and very friendly staff!... I love this place for both lunch and dinner. They have great wines, everything on the menu tastes fresh, the atmosphere is... modern and cozy at the same time, and the staff is super-friendly and fun. We always feel really welcome and love to linger overwine and the Grande Platter. Other must-orders are the Italian Deviled Eggs, the Italian Chopped Salad, and the MarinatedOlives.
