Reviews for Tiger Bites in Bellevue, WA
Just ordered a brown sugar boba, and chose low sweetness level ? didn?t expect it be literally just milk with boba lol! Ususally... when you say 0% sweetness, it?s for the tea, and not that you don?t want any brown sugar ???? Popcorn chicken was pretty goodtho Read more
My friends and I each got one of the baos and they were all quite good and filling. I?d have to say the Beef one had the best... flavor profile - the kimchi and seasonal give it a really good punch of flavor. The chicken was as good Read more
Would not go back. Ordered pick up for 45 mins after ordering on ChowNow (suggested ordering site on their website), I think... they made the food immediately because it was all cold. The tiger fries are not worth $9 with thick flavorless beef on top, notlike the beautiful pic at all. The popcorn chicken was ice cold and had 1 piece of basil, the pork belly rice and green beanshave no flavor including salt. The only good thing was our food was ready to be picked up, and the milk tea. But the milk teawas in the same bag as our hot food so it probably cooled off our food and did warm up the milk tea. Went there for lunch and tried the Korean Kalbi beef lunch combo. Unfortunately it is mostly greasy, disgusting fat (see photo),... barely any lean meat in it. Complained to the waitress and was told "we will do it better next time". Come on, if you don't wantto fix the problem this time, there would not be another customer for "nexttime". ------------------------------------------------------------------ Updated review to reflect my recent experience. Thisis a newly-opened hole-in-a-wall place for a quick bite of traditional Taiwanese food. However the quality of food is either hitor miss, depending on when you come and what you order. For exampe, rice bowl with pork belly (????) is soft and delivioussometimes, but under-cooked some other time. Rice bowl with red wine beef (??????) has a sour taste most folks would nottolerate. Service is fast when there are not too many people waiting. Price is a bit expensive, compared to other Taiwaneserestaurants in the area. Try to beat the crowd by coming earlier to skip the waiting line. Read more
I think this is Taiwanese cafe style eatery. You ordered and paid for the food at the counter, then they deliver the food to... your table when they are ready. No seating outside, but quite a bit of seating indoor. There are variety of dishes includingbeef noodle which comes with or without soup, fried chicken steak, fried tofu or string bean, etc. They also make bubble teaand other desserts like egg tart. The beef noodle portion is huge with lots of noodle and soft beef with tendon. The noodle isyummy and fresh. Read more
Each bao offers a distinct flavor, all quite good. The garlic string bean fries were excellently crispy and garlic-y, the tiger... fries were pretty tasty and filling. And the deep fried vanilla bao for dessert was better than any tempura ice cream I'd gottenat a Japanese restaurant. Didn't try the tea but as far as food goes it was pretty solid. Read more
Pleasant surprise to find this place. All the foods really are Taiwanese street foods. Their specialty looks to be their buns.... The white buns traditionally have braised pork belly, but they feature tons of other meats like fried fish, chicken, andothers. Other bits of awesome include braised pork rice, fried green beans, nori fries, fried tofu(not smelly), sweet potatofries, and numerous rice plates. Have to go back multiple times to try everything! We stopped by for a lite takeout dinner with friends who recommended it. Ordered Crispy Cod Bao, Nori Fries, Five Spice Popcorn... Chicken, Crispy Tofu and a Taro Milk. For 2. All the dishes were really good, modern and fresh! Seasoning very tasteful anddelicate. Turned out be not-so-lite dinner, this was a great find. Owners are nice to chat with if they are not too busy.
