Food is good for what you pay. It?s very inconsistent however, from the preparation, the way they package it, the amount of food... they include, and the overall quality/taste. None of the gentlemen working are friendly ? in fact they?ve been rude to me onmultiple occasions. You can barely hear the questions they ask you because they talk so quietly, and then glare at you when youask them to repeat it. They often forget a part of my order, even though it?s literally 3 ingredients, they forget to addsomething I?ve asked for. Standard chain experience is found here. The food is passable for basic Mexican fare, but I knew that when I came in for my... steak taco salad, which they no longer serve...ugh. The service was great and I really appreciated it, sometimes that makes thedifference between a fair experience and a poor one. Will never come here again . I ordered a burrito bowl and asked for no rice and no meat but instead just an extra scoop of beans... and tomatoes but the guy at the counter was so reluctant to give any more and just gave an extra few pieces or tomatoes as wasdoing me a favor . Do not recommend at all. Read more

I used to really like Taco del Mar, but this last experience has made me decide to choose Chipotle or my new favorite, QDoba. I... asked for a bowl, no rice and was sorely disappointed that it was so small that I had to pay extra to make it an actual meal byadding extra chicken and beans. I'm confused as to why I spent nearly $20 for an okay bowl. Disappointed. I expressed this tothe person training the new person making my bowl, only to be chuckled at and shrugging her shoulders like I was beingridiculous. I was the only one in the store during what should have been the lunch rush.....there were 4 people behind thecounter. Maybe other locations are are better, which I really hope is the case. I absolutely don't like leaving bad reviews, butthis was a terrible experience. Read more
