My new favorite sushi house, honestly thought I was in Japan for a moment. Nothing is super fancy and expensive, but the cuts of... fish are heavenly. I haven't seen that quality of seafood in a single sitting since Hawaii and that was $200+ and the atmospherewasn't as cozy or invited as Sushi In Joy. The house tea is a secret blend, she won't tell me what she does but damit, that'sreally good Genmaicha. Read more

Holy moly. Do not judge a book by its cover. This sushi was amazing. The boyfriend roll is an absolute must. The owner is so... sweet and my husband and I could not have had a better time. We will be back! Read more

I was struggling while writing this review, I'm in between 3 stars or 4 stars and can't decide which one to go with. My first... image of this restaurant is very good, I like the decoration when I step in, it's very typical Japanese decoration and I feelthey should have delicious food. However, I was kind of disappointed with the food itself. My major concern is two things: 1)the sashimi is warm, I never got such temperature of fish previously in a premium Sushi place (I count average cost per person$40+ as a premium place), the fish should be stored in a cold place and keep the temperature low. 2) Sushi rice is not meet myexpectation, it's a little bit hard than it should be and not in a good balance of sweet/sour, a good Sushi rice should be in agood balance of soft&hard, and taste kind of sweet with a little bit sour. Well, there is still something good about the food, they offer more amount of fish than other Sushi places, the Sashimi and Sushi are much bigger than normal. So, after strugglingfor a long time, I decided to rate this place as 4 stars, since I believe the negative side could be improved in the future, andI like the decoration. Read more

Found Sushi In Joy during our vacation. The service was excellent and the food was amazing. We tried a mix of the hot foods... and sushi. The highlight of our meal was the salmon poki. It has the Hawaiian spices and tastes just like the poki we had inHawaii! Their sushi was very fresh. The ramen was excellent - we tried both the dry and soup based ramen. All the dishes hadgreat portions sizes. We were stuffed! Hubby said this was the best sushi dinner on our trip so far! We highly recommendSushi In Joy if you are in town! Read more

What a great little Sushi place! We got all this food pictured in the kitchen bento box for dinner. The waitress/host was... probably the sweetest waitress I've met in months. I might deduct a star because the bento box came with these sushis and Idon't really like sushi... Next time I'll try the salmon sashimi as that's the only sushi I really like. The table felt soprivate though I felt like I was at a really nice place (despite just being in the middle of suburban set of shops). The mixedtempura had two shrimps and it was so good and well done. Read more
