I used to love Kiku Sushi, but recently there were some changes that are impossible to overlook. I don't know if they are trying... to save money by cutting corners, but the tea used to be very good, now it is a watered down version of it, without the toastedrice. The light soy sauce seems to be just whole sodium, the chicken Kara Age is well fried, but has no taste, no ginger at all. Agedashi Tofu used to come swimming in delicious sauce, but now the sauce is about 2 spoons, and so bland that you can barelytaste it. But the California roll still tastes very good! Read more

Rude Service!! Extremely bad experience here! I called the restaurant at 11:30 to have a pick up order at 12:30 and I gave my... name and phone number. My boy friend went there to pick up the food at 12:35. They didn?t prepare food and didn?t say sorry fortheir fault! The most ridiculous thing was the old Japanese server started to become aggressive and asked my boyfriend to provethat he made this order even though he provided my name and phone number and he would like to pay for the food or else theywouldn?t start to prepare the food! The server even requested using my phone to call the restaurant again to confirm we made theorder that they didn?t prepare at all! Never go back again! Do go into this restaurant! Read more

The rudest restaurant I have ever been. I made a take out order by phone. They not only missed it but the owner didn't... apologized and asked me to prove my identity instead. We haven't paid for it yet and they never started to prepare for it. Inthis case why would I pretend to be someone else? Will never come to this rude restaurant again. Read more

This place reminded me of why sushi is my favorite food. For medium to higher end pricing, you get top quality sushi that is on... par with the best sushi restaurants in Washington. The fish literally melts in your mouth. If price is relevant, then this wouldbe my top recommendation for sushi restaurants in WA. Photos are of Chirashi bowl, Nigiri pieces, squid&sea urchin roll, Bentobox(only ~$16 tax&tip for everything in that photo). Read more

I dont know why I haven't eaten here before now. The food was authentic and great, though the menu may not be as expansive than... similar restaurants. They specialize in appetizers, sushi and bento boxes, but they have some other entrees and noodle bowls. The restaurant is actually larger than expected, but honestly sitting up front seems better because the service is better. Thebento boxes are great and come with your choice of sashimi or rolls. We also tried the curry chicken katsu, seafood noodle andseveral rolls. Everything was great, and the food came out faster than anywhere else I can remember and even faster than somefast food places. We didn't have a reservation, and it wasn't a problem, but I would reccomend making them in the future asthere was alot of traffic, people ordering takeout, etc. I would highly advise trying Kiku Sushi. Typical American Japanese restaurant. Their food is pretty good but not great. The price is also fair.

Had a quick lunch and the food was good and came out quickly. Only real downside was that it felt a bit like the staff was... swamped and ignored us a bit. I think this is a good restaurant and I would happily return but I don't like having to flagsomeone down for every little thing. Might have been an off day so I wouldn't let it deter others from visiting. Read more

4.5 rounding up to 5. The place was clean and the service was swift. Tuna was a bit bland but the shellfishes (geoduck and... scallops) tasted like ocean. Read more
