I was really disappointed by this ezells location. The portions were very small, ridiculously so considering the price and the... food was very flavorless. Check your box every time! This is the 4th time we have asked for dark meat and walked out with dry as bone white meat half the... size it used to be. We used to drive over to the 23rd location as a kid in the 90s and we were so excited to see it pop in theFactoria area. Sorely disappointed.. Used to be you came to an Ezells for huge pieces of juicy chicken. The chickens still great but someone in management came up... with the brilliant idea you could make twice as much on a good sized (breast) piece by cutting it in half and charging for twofull pieces. Such amazing food all around. Started with the inhouse made rolls that I could have accepted as the only thing to eat for... dinner. Then we tried the chicken. Perfect thin crunchy batter, light on bread and salt but packed with flavor. The cobbler wasnext. It would have been better heated up, but since we were on the road we ate it cold. Still delicious. Lastly we triedthe Mac N Cheese and BBQ baked beans. Mac n cheese was like a home made baked cheddar cheese Mac flavor. So, I just moved to Washington State, and my hotel was near one of their locations. I decided to try them on my walk around the... neighborhood. Now about the food, I'm a dark meat type person. I forgot to tell them dark meat only. Basically, because oftexture I think white meat tends to be firmer and dryer. Well, low and behold Ezell's, exceeded my expectations. I literally atesome, refrigerated it and then microwaved it again. The texture was still crispy, juicy and full of flavor. Ezell's has a newloyal customer. Bye bye KFC, there's a new sheriff in town.
