I could leave it at the fact that my family always orders family size of the meals because we want left overs, but it isn't just... that the food is phenomenal, the service and people make it top tier. The owner is a wonderful man, which is a huge part in whyI spend my money here. The presence of this man is enough to make my day better. He cares so much about his restaurant and hispatrons, and it shows. When Golden Bowl was closed for a while due to repairs, people (including my family) marked theircalendars for the day they reopened so they could order more delicious food. So, Golden Bowl delivered. Went off the recommendation of our own Omaha Fattie, Danell, and it did not disappoint. My husband... and I absolutely loved the recommendations and the freshness and spice level were perfect! The place was clean and John, the FOHand co-owner was eager to please and all around nice, genuine guy! Highly recommend the off menu item, Michael?s Chicken if youlike a little heat, tender, flavorful chicken and fresh veggies! Then, the fried rice is the combination fried rice, add Chinesebbq pork, extra egg and spice level 4?it was SO good! My husband and really loved the Happy Family and said it was cookedperfectly. Food was served quickly and was yummy. Only thing keeping it from a 5 star is not being given the option to pay when picking up... order. Could be their way of assuming the sale to only ask for the card when the order is taken over the phone, instead ofproviding options. Since there are alternative locations within less than 5 miles that allow the ordering online or by phonewhere payment is taken at time of pick up. We've driven by this place a few times & today we decided to stop in. My husband ordered the Egg Drop Soup, it was really good... "the best I've ever had" he said. A friend of mine said this place was good and decided to try it. It was NOT good. First thing I tried was the crab rangoon and... it was hard like it was overcooked or simply old. The rice was didn't look like regular fried rice and the meat didn't tasteright. Over all the food did NOT taste like any other Chinese food I've had. I called and spoke to the manager. He was extremelyrude suggesting that my friend and I both calling about the complaint was taking advantage of his company. I explained to him Idon't have an agenda besides getting good quality good which I did NOT receive. I asked for a refund and he refused. All he cando is a store credit and store credit does not change the fact that I don't like the food. If you know what GOOD Chinese foodtaste like this is NOT the place to go. This was my second time visiting this Chinese restaurant. Staff were friendly, quick, and kept the facility clean. However, I... felt the portion sizes were slightly off and lacked when compared to other Chinese cuisine competitors in the area. The photoattached may give the false illusion that there?s a lot due to the angle/positioning. I think altering the portion sizes orgiving a slightly larger carry out container/box would be a positive implementation to address this concern. Read more
