The atmosphere there is a work in progress. Inside, you could tell they were working on it. The outside, needed work. When I... pulled up, I wasn't sure it was open. I'm so glad I went inside! Such a gem! Our waitress was amazing. She explained items tous and recommended a few things. She was prompt and friendly. She was patient with our endless questions. Food: so good! Wedidn't get anything that wasn't delicious. This is a must visit and enjoy sort of gem. Read more

Undoubtedly... one of best hidden gems in the entire metro!!! Way to go Bellevue! This place definitely brings that type of... authentic flavor that you find in South America. So much flavor, soul, and love in the food here! Richard is a fantastichost... and he creates an authentic laid back atmosphere that is incredibly inviting and friendly... almost like your friend isshowing you his culture on a plate. You can taste the passion and pride in the food!!! If you're interested in trying worldfoods... this place is a must. But don't rush... talk to Richard... have a conversation... and let him bring you a little bit ofvarious things. Make it an experience!!! Have a cerveza and kick back. I've trekked the world... and I love eating at placeslike this because you can taste the love they have for their food. I don't care where you are in Omaha... if you haven't triedthis place... you're missing out. Between the laid back atmosphere, service with gusto, and southern hemisphere flavor... thisplace WILL BE a regular visit. Read more

This place was so great!! Great customer service and quickly received our food! The patacone was delicious! The ?bun? is... plantains! It was a little hard to eat, but there a lot that fell out when I would bite. But it was easy to piece back togetherand eat after. We will definitely be back! Read more

The service was excellent! The server explained everything about what was on the menu. The menu was very descriptive also, which... is good since I've never had Venezuelan food. I had an arepa, which is a sandwich on cornmeal bread. There are many. I gotasada. Very good. And chicha, which is a drink kinda like rice pudding. Great! Read more

This place is phenomenal. The staff are so friendly and their food will make your taste buds dance! I got the 2 meat pepito and... it was so good! The various sauces on it are the main flavors but the whole thing is so good. You can't go wrong with any of thefood here. Top notch restaurant! Read more

El Arepon Venezuelan Restaurant just opened in Bellevue, Nebraska a week ago but I've been there twice to eat. I was back for... dinner last night. I had the Tostada: It's an Arepa, dipped in seasoned butter and Deep-Fried! Served with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, sauces, and choice of meat (I had ground beef). My wife had the Steak Arepa: Chopped, seasoned steak, fresh pico deGallo, and queso fresco. We also had an appetizer: Tostones with chicken. Everything was excellent - but man... that deep-friedtostada was amazing!! The owner, Richard, came by to see how everything was. He is just such a positive, happy individual it'shard not to smile when talking with him. Highly recommended! Read more

This food was terrible and overpriced. 3 of the 6 sauces on my sandwich, were ketchup, mustard, and mayo and my ?sausage? was... nothing better than a concession stand hot dog. My friends meal was nothing more than a $15 chopped steak Caesar salad. Thesteak could only be described as underwhelming. Read more
