We stopped in after a hike on the earlier side of the day & at first didn't find anyone. But the owner called us in as we were... getting back into the car & glad we did. Had some excellent conversation with the owner about local history & thoroughlyenjoyed the wines. We've been to a number of the local vineyards and while the tasting room wasn't the fanciest, this one hassome of the best wines (at least when it comes to dry, which is what we tasted). We had a really nice time at the winery and restaurant. Jack, the owner, is a lot of fun to talk with and the wines are great... (we really liked Code Red and Cynthiana Norton)! The food at Wineaux Restaurant, on property, was also great and thelandscaping out back is really well maintained. We recognized and appreciated the thought that went into making each of thefeatures easily accessible (e.g., a number of ramps leading to lower decks and the gazebo). We stayed as part of the HarvestHost program and had plenty of room in the gravel lot for our 33 ft. motorhome. We will certainly be back next time we are inthe area. Read more
