Questionable spice levels and inconsistent service be darned...this is truly world class Indian food. I've tried Indian food in... a number of major cities and this place is still a solid contender. They consistently pump out amazing dishes withunquestionable authenticity. This location has a sister restaurant-Pakeezah-in Bozeman. Now that Curry Express has moved to anew storefront, both restaurants are in beautiful spaces perfect for a date or any other occasion. The menu has every Indiandish you would expect and more. Prices are still fair. Service can be interesting here. Sometimes it is super fast and othertimes it takes over an hour. Do not roll the dice on that if you are in a hurry. You can also order to-go to play it safe. Spicelevels are the other point of contention. Everything is on a 1-5 scale. Lately, a 2 has been a 1 and a 3 has been a 5. They usedto be more nuanced with spice but it has been hard to guarantee the right balance lately. Still though, the food rocks. Thenaan is always perfectly done. Spongy and light at the same time. We picked up an online order tonight, while we were grabbing it the lovely person behind the counter said we got a free naan but... we weren't sure she was talking to us so unfortunately didn't acknowledge... It was indeed us and we are so stoked on havingextra naan for all our leftovers!! Thank you! Need to update the hours or shut down the restaurant. After driving 45 minutes specifically to eat Indian food, we find out the... restaurant is still not open 30 minutes past its opening time of 11am. Speaking with another restaurant owner who knows thempersonally, I found out that the owners, Rajesh, Rajni and Kim, open the place whenever they feel like it and don't really careabout their customers. Delicious food, helpful staff! The butter chicken and garlic naan are to die for. What a treasure of a restaurant in such a... small town. Large portions, fair prices: my friend and I easily share a meal and a naan. Order ahead of you want to get yourfood fast because it can take some time to prepare. Edited to update 4/16/21: This place is always a must-visit when I'm in thearea. Their new location is fabulous! Beautiful decor and it's much more spacious. The food is still incredible.
