Reviews for Liberty Station in Bedford, VA
First time in, and we absolutely love this place. Ask for the bread!!!!! We had the salads. Dinner size plates. The whole... experience was delightful. Met the owner too! If I could, I'd give them 10 ???? Let's add another 10 stars just because theircheesecake is to die for. Super creamy. Not overwhelming in flavor. Just perfection. Read more

Wanted to try another new place for dinner tonight so we headed to Liberty Station in Bedford. Loved the history of the... building, casual atmosphere. We had the famous Catfish filets (with sides) and coconut shrimp (and sides) and fried greentomatoes on a bed of onion straws and dill Sauce (plenty to share) as an appy. Took home lots of leftovers from our meals fordinner tomorrow! ???? The Catfish was out of this world, Coconut Shrimp was good and the fried green tomatoes were delish! Ourserver (Riley) was exceptional, will request her area from now on!! Highly recommend this place, but go early or be willing towait! Super popular place, apparently! ?????????? Read more
Since it was number one on Expedia for best restaurants in Bedford, VA we had to and were not disappointed by the food or the... service. Our waitress, the two hostesses and two mangers who worked the floor constantly helping wait staff during our mealwere all wonderful. First off, I would highly recommend the pineapple upside down martini. ????. The little pottery croc ofthree types of bread served with strawberry butter was charming. I took a chance and had the salt and pepper catfish. (I'mvery picky about catfish since I grew up eating fried catfish from the river cooked by my dad.). It was highly recommend andrightfully so. Wow! Seasoned perfectly and great quality. I choose corn pudding and coleslaw as my sides, and they were alsodelicious. The corn pudding, which in Texas would be called corn casserole, was sweeter than I'm used to, but I loved it. Thecoleslaw was less sweet than I'm used to, but I loved that too. This was the first time I've had remoulade, and I immediatelydecided I like it better than tarter sauce. Husband had beef tips and the only "complaint" he had was there wasn't more.???????????? The twice baked potato and crispy onion rings were great too! If you're trying to decide whether to get the keylime or chocolate swirl cheesecake, I can't help you. They are both equally scrumptious. Good luck! ???? Definitely a superiorlocal restaurant! Read more
Always clean. Staff pleasant and helpful. Food is good, but we always leave slightly disappointed. Old Fashion was very... disappointing, although made with Maker?s Mark as we requested. Wine selection is horrible. Ribeye very tasty, cooked moremedium than medium rare as requested. Ribs were excellent. Filet was small, thin and slightly over cooked. Rather bland. Creamyspinach very floury. Cheesecake was super bland but the key lime pie was nice and tangy and very good. Read more

We stopped in on our way back from Roanoke. It was the best decision ever. The Filet Mignon was cooked perfectly. It was so... fluffy it was like it melted in your mouth. The salad is crisp and flavourful. They have an amazing Raspberry almond sauce. The Raspberry Cheese Cake is the best I've eaten in all my travels. The owner Harry is a wonderfully cheerful gentleman wholoves to greet newcomers with a smile and a special treat. The town alone is full of history. This diner is no exception. Thediner was one of many key stations during the WW2. If you love history, trains, food and a wonderfully inviting atmosphere. There is no other place I would recommend. Read more
