Take out experience had never been great, unlike other Indian restaurants, they don't make it based on the order. Most of the... dishes are already precooked or prepared to finish on a given day. So try telling them not to add something or customize a smallthing, you won't get it. The only thing they can do is just spice level. Their service used to be good until when they startedgetting the desperate diners who are known to them, willing to give 5 stars for whatever they get. They stopped caring about thequality n service. If you are taking out, pls make sure everything is in order and the poor quality takeout boxes aren't leakingand the breads aren't burnt like what I got. No other Indian restaurant peers use this filthy Styrofoam containers. I am open tosee if anything improves and review again soon. Read more
It's pretty hard getting authentic Indian food in the HRM while trying to please the pallete of the locals so won't comment on... the spice levels but however I've been eating out at South Asian restaurants internationally and within Canada since time andwhat I will comment on is the quality and quantity of the food, it's honestly mediocre at best, there naans are buttered andoily, it's almost like someone took the frozen packet naan and compensated with a ton of oil and butter. I ordered one lambcurry and a veg curry and even compared to other Indian restaurants in the HRM the for the same price, the The quantity is verylittle and the quality doesn't make up for how mediocre the curries are. The biggest red flag for this place is the serverstelling people to leave Google reviews ????, I've given this place an additional star for the fact that this place has a liquorlicense serves alcohol, which is quite progressive for an Indian restaurant. We went out for a late evening dinner last night and wanted to try something different so we went to Red Chillies and I am so... glad we did! Wow! This is truly a hidden gem, with amazing food. The flavours were mind blowing and I couldn't have been morehappy. I ordered the appetizer beef potato chops which were to die for. For my main course I ordered the Tandoori ChickenPlatter which came with salad, rice and home made buttered naan. Honestly their buttered naan I could eat all day! I asked formedium spice and it was perfect for me. Not really spice but just enough that I could still taste my food. My daughter orderedthe lamb curry with rice and naan but she did find the lamb curry strong. I tried it as well and I really enjoyed it but it wasmore spicy then mine was so I understand why it wasn't for her as she has a very mild palate. This place has a lot of optionson their menu and I will be back and trying many more different types of food! This is a must visit if you enjoy authenticIndian food. Thank you for the wonderful meal and friendly service! If I could give you more than 5 stars I would hands down!???????? Read more

I was quite disappointed with the food and the ability of the restaurant to follow instructions asked by their own ordering... system. Both the Paneer and chicken dish were asked to be low spice. But there were far from it, I can handle quite a bit ofspice and that was even too much for me. I wouldn?t be getting any dishes from here again. The best parts of this order was thevegetable pakoras and the garlic naan! I?m truly disappointed as the dishes had no gravy and were mainly oil! We also had askedfor a mint sauce and utensils and we got none of them. The bad quality of the food made things worse as it messed my stomach upbadly. Overall disappointing food experience. Read more
