Stopped for shakes on the way home. Once we got our shakes we were short one shake. They messed up the order a little but that's... fine just get the missed shake we pray for it and go on - but NO - they had some big discussion about it then came backcondescending and rude to the window. Why all the drama? Finally had to tell them charge us for another shake and get it for usthat's all we wanted. Really rude staff and unnecessarily dramatic over a simple problem. Read more
I rarely leave good reviews. Especially fast food. As we all know it's usually always bad. NOT this one! The automated ordering system is not an improvement - especially for those with disabilities. The person putting together the... order didn't even put everything on the tray and when trying to get the missing items, we were ignored for 10+ minutes by 4 people! What used to be a decent shirt down, family friendly location is now a glorified fast food joint with smaller servings, higher prices, and less service. Read more
They've remodeled but have done away with wait staff. If dining in, one must order and pay at a computer screen/kiosk. If l... wanted to wait on myself, I'd go to Walmart. Customers want wait staff when dining in plain and simple. The whole waiting onone's self isn't going over well with the public. Read more
Great Steak and Shake location! All the ones in Evansville closed so it was nice to grab a familiar bite that we haven't had in... a while. Everyone was very friendly and polite and despite not ordering a kids meal, we were brought some apple juice and applesauce for our daughter. Great place to bring the family! Read more
Wouldn't gave even a star, but that was the only way I could give a review. The food is tasty & the restaurants is clean. What... is sorely lacking is competent employees. If your staff taking window orders can't take a simple order, such as 2 singles, nocheese with lettuce, tomato & onion...then we have a problem. Why should I be happy to receive a credit? We don't have ourdinner. Why should I spend extra money in gas to drive back to your restaurant so you can "make it right". You insult me withthat attitude. Train your staff, take responsibility for your mistakes and spend your dollars & time delivering my correctedorder to my door! Maybe I didn't spend twenty bucks, but I've spent the last dollar there that you'll ever get from me. Funny, Iknew the man who started Steak & Shake & built the business up in Indianapolis, IN. Those restaurants were successful for many,many years, but now have closed. Your restaurant will probably suffer the same fate. Have you tried the Butter Steakburger? It. Was. So. Good. I can't remember a burger ever tasting this good. I ordered it loaded... and added sauté onions. The bun had a buttery seasoned mix of something on the bun that made it OH SO GOOD. The fries were hotand fresh. They have the kiosk ordering stations but they were very easy and you were able to order everything exactly like youwanted it. Steak-N-Shake also received a bonus point for serving Coke Zero. Just went through the drive through, I LOVE the chocolate peanut butter shake, get it all the time?..but this time I was given... this(see picture below) nothing wrong with it except it?s not chocolate peanut butter it?s just peanut butter. I mentioned thisto the person at the window hoping they would notice how light the color is, you know chocolate is pretty dark brown, and well Itasted it too and no chocolate. Well I guess the customer is not always right, because they acted as if I was crazy or stupidand said to me ?I?m pretty sure that?s what that is? meaning a chocolate peanut butter shake. And then just looked at me like Iwas a child. Just not cool at all guys, come on. I should have been treated with more kindness and respect, and YOU GOT IT WRONGbut refused to own up to it and didn?t even try to fix it??Please do better.
