Randomly decided to pop in here for lunch, the food was very fresh, well seasoned and charred to perfection.
Late in the week, tired from work, brain-fried and looking for a place to grab dinner for the family is always the challenge... especially after 5pm. I wanted to try something different and unique. We haven't had any Mediterranean food worth noting so Idid a search and I came across UR. Despite the mixed-reviews, I wanted to try-out this place and give my honest review and soit begins. When my daughter and I arrived in downtown Beaverton, it was our first time in that particular area and looking forparking was a little bit challenging for her. We ended-up parking about 3 blocks away from the restaurant. Google map told usit would take about a 4 min. walk but I said whatever; it would be great exercise. Parts of the downtown were closed-off foroutdoor dining and a kids play area was set-up in the street. They even had huge lawn-chair props- makes for great photos butunfortunately I didn't take any snaps. Vibes were great and the weather perfect. As what some folks mentioned here, I didnotice the young guy running the restaurant didn't seem pleasant, had a bland demeanor and looked quite bored, but nonetheless Iwasn't going to let that first impression dictate the rest of the experience. We went ahead and placed 5 orders (Chicken Kabob,Lamb and Beef Kabob, Chicken Shawarma, Chicken Shish Kabobs and Hummus Plate). The guy then told us it was going to be a 25min. wait so I said no problem. When we got home, my first impression reaching into the bag was "heft"- the food in thecontainers were heavy. Just look at the photos I took of our meals. For the amount of money I paid it was enough food to feed2. Pricey but well worth it! Portions were HUGE and will easily feed us for several meals as leftovers. The gyro was seriously... gigantic. Food was fresh and delicious. Definitely recommend! Read more

Have been coming here pretty frequently for a couple years, favorite is the mezza plate since you get a lot of different things.... Falafel and dolmas have tons of flavor, best pita bread I've ever had. The sauces are also great- highly recommend the tzatziki,hummus, and baba ghanouj. Read more
