There have only been two instances in my life where the food was so good it made me want to cry. Ron is a treasure and you can... tell with every bite that he puts his entire soul into his food. The place is so small and tucked away that you might notnotice it if you drove by. From Ron's story and sincerity, to the cozy atmosphere with positive messages adorning the walls. Itwas wonderful. Wonderful man, wonderful food. This place is the real deal and truly magical. I could not recommend it anyhigher. Read more

It?s amazing to see people from my culture do good for themselves and their community. African Americans are judged based on... past experiences but look what came from the struggle and he made it. Ron is an amazing cook, if your looking for soul food thisplace is the place to come. Since coming back to Oregon it seems like all the soul food restaurants didn?t make it past thepanademic but still he stands. Read more

Great place!! Stumbled upon it with a friend as it was the only place open at 11:20 pm that wasn?t fast food. Owner was so... incredibly nice and humble and even gave my friend a small dish of free collard greens as she?d said she never had them before. The fries are deliciously hot and crispy and the entire environment was welcoming. Will definitely be coming again as well asrecommending to friends!! Read more

I haven?t actually tried this place yet, but let me explain! We decided to go to Red Robin (it?s was our free birthday burger of... the month ???????????) as we were getting back into our car I saw a smiley man pop out of Riptz City Eats and say ?hey have youtried this place?!? With a twinkle in his eye and a big smile. We both kinda looked around (honestly I wasn?t quite sure what itwas) and said ?umm no? very curiously. He said ?well come on let, let me show you!? He then told us a little bit about his storyof how he was once houseless and now he is the owner and chef behind this wonder creation. He also showed us how he is currentlypartnering and selling Humble Pie desserts, of course we had to get one! And then he was so sweet to offer us a sample of hishomemade cornbread, so delicious!!!! So I haven?t actually had a meal here but the sample of the cornbread, his passion for hisfood and his story, big warm inviting personality, and his genius and determined business skills make me want to come back andactually try his menu! I can?t wait to come and try all of the delicious food. Please stop by and support this local businessyou won?t be sorry! Read more
