Coming from Hawaii, this is my go-to for quick Hawaiian BBQ chicken meal. They do offer lau-lau as a regular menu item since... most other Hawaiian Restaurant in the Portland Metro Area don?t. I did notice the lau-lau is a bit on the dry side (possiblyused pork tenderloin) Read more

This is expensive fast food restaurants. We ordered Mahi Mahi fish and were expecting grilled fish but it was quickly fried and... served. Kids order noodle with chicken. It was not even prepared up front instead chicken, noodles and soup were given separately . Soup was given 32 oz plastic togo box . You are expected to mix soup and noodles in 32 oz togo box. There was nosingle veggies piece at all kids dishes. I think we ate most expensive, unhealthy fast food ( first and last time eating here) . Read more

Went here because a lady in my water aerobics recommended this as ?authentic Hawaiian food?. Unfortunately- it?s not. It is,... however, authentically dismal and undelicious premade food. I asked about the ?spring rolls? which looked like fried egg rollsfrom the picture and he said ?those are pre- made- I don?t know what?s in them?. I ordered a mahi mahi sandwich which wassaturated in grease with a side of fries which were the only thing edible. I asked for no tartar so apparently this meant just ageneric sesame bun and an overly fishy greasy piece of mahi mahi. No flavor- no pride. The staff was not friendly or outgoing atall. If you want delicious Hawaiian food go to Migets in Forest Grove where they are clean, friendly and most importantly- makeDELICIOUS Hawaiian food. This building would be better off utilized as a Froyo or ice cream place. $17 for lunch I didn?t eat. Read more

The prices are WAY to high for the incredibly small portions. I placed an order through Doordash and was shocked at the side... salad to go size styrofoam boxes, one baby scoop of rice?? No sauce? And the Mac was almost $2 for legit no more than 2.5tablespoons....absolutely ridiculous. The food is okay, not the best, not the worst, but for the amount I was charged I expectedtop quality. Definitely sticking to my go to spot from now on in Hillsboro, next to the court house and directly across fromMcDonald's and Gen x clothing, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU TRY IT OUT!!! BEST MAC AND TERIYAKI AROUND AND MASSIVE PORTIONS FORCHEAP!!!! Read more

The food is really good. We have gone each time we've been in Portland last couple years, however, with their steep price... increases as of late, I don't think it will be worth the trip again. Expect $15 - 20 per meal, and any extras really swell thebill. I'm sure there are many reasons why, but it is what it is and we may make other less expensive fast food choices. Wehad the chicken katsu & pulled pork regular combo plate and the Lau Lau regular plate, each with 2 scoops rice and a 3 ozcontainer of Mac salad for $17.95. There were 2 Lau Lau on the plate. Very flavorful and uniquely Hawaiian. Katsu with thekatsu plate was crispy and hot. The 20 oz soda fountain was $2.95. Staff was very friendly and patient as we tried to decidewhat we wanted. Only 2 or 3 small tables inside for dine in. Bathrooms are not available due to Covid issues. Read more
