Pulled In to drive through ordered 16 piece family meal and was told it had to be half and half .( original recipe half extra... cripy.) Before I even told what one I would like . Sides 2x mash, Mac and cheese and slaw. Was told to park in front to waitfor order .10 minutes later he came with my order . I never got recept or Gravy for mash . No sauces that I asked for. The drive through was super busy. Went inside to be told they only had original chicken which was fine until I was told I'd have... to wait 45 minutes for dark meat. Not a good thing at all. Tried their new chicken sandwich. Pretty tasty though I wish it had more than just a couple of pickles and the bun with it. I've... tried all the new chicken sandwiches in the last month, and while this is larger than previous offerings from KFC, flavor-wise,it still comes in second to Popeyes if you get a hot version of the Popeyes sandwich. If you're going for a Popeye's chickensandwich, I've found you really need to go at a rush hour in order to get one right out of the fryer. If you get one where thechicken has been sitting for 10 minutes before they make the sandwich, it's not worth going there. Re-visited again April 14 &15, 2021. Ordered 5 chicken sandwiches. Size of chicken was exceptional in all sandwiches. Chicken wasn't greasy, was friedto a nice crispy crunch when you bite into it, and had a mild, tasty flavor. I still would rate this location's Crispy Colonelchicken sandwiches 5 stars, even though the bun that this delicious sandwich is contained in is really pretty awful. It's likethey wrapped up a Bugatti with an old worn out napkin. On the same day, also visited a Burger King to try their new handbreaded just released chicken sandwich. In reverse order, their bun was excellent, probably the best bun on any fast food itemI can remember eating. Light, tender crumb, with a hint of a butter, really exceptional, nothing at all close to the standardfast serve burger bun. On the other hand, the fried chicken itself was the worst piece of chicken I've been served at any fastserve restaurant in the last couple of years. Dry, over fried, to the point that about 1/3rd of it was inedible. I won'tmention the name of the BK location, since I don't think it's fair to leave a terrible review based on one experience, but checkit out later, as I will return to the same place to see if I got the one in a million horrible piece of chicken, or if this iswhat BK thinks is going to compete with KFC and Popeye's.
