The ramen was okay in a way and the chicken broth was good. The sushi was scrumptious and terrific. Ice cream was yummy, we got... coffee and salted caramel ice cream. And we also got a lavender latte and it was just the best. I give the ramen three stars andthe lavender latte five stars. It was overall organized and reasonable prices. I love the food at afuri, I felt that everything that I got was extremely high quality and tasted better than I anticipated. The... food is delicious and I recommend trying it out. I think the staff were all friendly and served us well. The mood in thisrestaurant is modern trendy but it sets a relaxed tone with bright lights and casual dining tables. However I would say therestaurant is slightly over priced for the food they are serving, and can lead to customers leaving the restaurant lesssatisfied than they would want. Read more

I mean 10/10 is an understatement. The restaurant, the ambiance, the open kitchen and the service is only the start! Juniper,... our server, was not only amazing but also kind of enough to make our dining experience exceptional. She recommended thenon-alcoholic drink - Coco Melon which tasted like a honeydew melon lemonade but slight subtle. But the ginger ale was the realstar of a drink! Amazing amazing amazing. I’ll start with the shareables or the HOT/ROBATA. 1. Corn: You’ll be nuts to nottry the corn. It’s a grilled corn with garlic miso aioli, chili powder topped with shaved paprika. I could eat 10 of thesealone. The flavor was INSANE. 2. Jaga Bata was devine let me explain why. The smoked potatoes with the mushrooms had such a deepflavor. It was a rich dish with an aioli that was to die for. I’m not a mushroom person but let me tell you, I think I’m ashroom lover now.. not the kind you’re thinking of but the AFURI kind 3. Nasu: the smoked eggplant with ginger, DELICIOUS. ButI wouldn’t get it again, not a big ???? gal 4. Shishito: it tasted like a grilled/smoked shishito pepper but a million timesbetter. Just try it and thank me later!! 5. Saba Shioyaki: holy mackerel. This is a whole meal on its own okay.. like don’ttry to be kind and share it. You need this for yourself. For the main meal: I got the yuzu ratan, which is their spiciestramen. It usually comes with chashu pork, I asked for no pork. Chicken broth usually doesn’t have much flavor, I was concernedit would have more of a pho like broth. I was WRONG. I think a bowl on its own was definitely shareable! So splurge on the appsand get a ramen to share. How romantic is that. I am totally go back to try the sushi. Oh and did I mention they have anoutdoor patio? Foods are so delicious but the portions are small. NASU is grilled eggplants taste very good. KARRAGE is coming with a very... delicious sauce that you want to eat the last drop of it. AFURI Roll is a combination of salmon and tuna roll which taste ok butnot the best sushi. The corn ROBATA is also good. NEGIMA is two small pieces of chicken thigh which the taste ok but not as goodas other foods tried. Service also is good and people are friendly. Preface: I wanted to give this place another chance but it underperformed once again. Product: 5/5 We ordered their housemafe... tofu, karaage (fried chicken), Asari Shoyu (ramen/noodles), otoro/sake nigiri (fatty tuna/salmon), nigiri flight, and astrawberry dessert. The tofu left a lot to be desired. It's great if you're looking for a very plain tofu flavor as it's verylight. However, it gets monotonous quite fast. With a slightly stronger seasoning/flavor to pair it with, I think it wouldimprove the dish. Karaage was great, very unique shopping sauce. The ramen was unique as it had clams. I thought it was uniqueand surprisingly good. The sushi was above average and tasted great. Value: 2/5 I worked as a sushi chef in the past and I cansay they did a great job with hitting home for the most part. Sadly, this is about value. I enjoyed the ramen dish but wantedmore noodles to go with the broth. I asked if I could have more noodles and I would pay extra. They told me they would notprovide any extra noodles. What? Are you telling me that the only way to get more noodles is to buy another ramen and transferthose noodles into my bowl? I told them I was willing to pay the price for a whole new ramen but I really just wanted to enjoythe soup and noodles and they still denied it. How odd. There are plenty of sushi/ramen places that have amazing quality in thearea without this price tag (a meal for two with one main dish that we shared was well over $100). What an amazing experience! Everything we delicious. We ordered something from each section of the menu, including drinks, and... everything was fresh and so tasty. Our server, Mitchell, was also awesome. He was incredibly knowledgeable of the menu and gavegreat recommendations. The atmosphere was wonderful as well. We will absolutely be here again soon! Really tasty and thick broth. The ramen noodle is non curly. Very nice take out packaging as it's during pandemic time. The... broth is separated from the dry ingredients with instructions. Plenty of street parking around the area. There are outdoorseatings as the street is closed from traffic. Will come back again! Read more
