Baba Ghanooj was freshly made, but I thought could use a bit more zest compared to other places I?ve had it. The lamb over ricewas decent, I think it too could have been seasoned a bit heavier. My wife and I came all the way from California to visit a relative attending the college and we were in dire need of food after... battling traffic. We looked up ethnic food and stumbled on this shwarma place to give it a try and we were not disappointedwhatsoever. It is Egyptian flavor and spices that make it taste different from the shwarma places we have frequented that caterto Palestinian or Greek flavors. We purchased a shish kabob plate with lamb and the lamb was juicy and just off the grill. Wealso purchased a chicken gyro plate and the servings are huge which is great for the price one pays. The music gives it a greatambiance and the service is great from the young attendant that assisted us. You must try the baklava it is really deliciousunlike the store varieties that taste stale and dry. The baklava here tastes fresh and smothered I'm sweetness. Absolutely delicious shawarma. Meat is tender and well seasoned, not too tough as is case in some places. Portions are a good... size, and packaged well for carry-out so they won't leak their Hummus (extra points for that!). I LOVE their Manakesh withZatar, and the version of cheese w/zatar... so ooey-gooey good. Leave room for dessert as he has so many delicious littletreats that are almost too beautiful to eat! Baklava is outstanding and maamool comes in many flavors. Most of all the owner isextremely nice and friendly, happy to explain his food that is clearly made with great care. Read more

Stopped in on whim for lunch and discovered a real gem. While the decor and space could use work (tho the murals are a nice... touch), the food is top notch! The pictures on the menu do the dishes themselves no justice. The owner is also a truerestaurateur - obviously deeply invested both in bringing great Lebanese flavours to his customers and in making sure those samecustomers themselves are enjoying those flavours and understand them. We were deeply impressed by his knowledge, his quiet butfriendly manner, and his enthusiasm for his food when talking to us about it. We tried the beef shawarma meal, the gyro wrap,the stuffed grape leaves and the cheese + zaatar manakeesh. They were all subtly but well seasoned and balanced, with nothingoverwhelming the other flavours or assaulting our palates. Great stuff! And the zaatar was fantastic, some of the freshest andtastiest I've had anywhere. A favourite was definitely the home made hummus that came on the side - we took home a pint of itto enjoy at home later. Just freshly ground chick peas with sumac, delicious! I was in the mood for something different and I read all the reviews and they are spot on. The food is wonderful. The way he... put the garlic sauce then rice then more sauce then amazingly tender and flavorful chicken on top was so delicious and creamy. I could only eat less than half and will share leftovers for dinner with my friend. Baklava was sooo good. I will be a regularfor sure. Very enjoyable experience. He talked about a new dessert he made and I cant wait to try more items :) Read more
