The Underground Bake Shop is setting a new standard for what coffee houses and bakeries should strive to be in the humble town... of Beaverton, Ontario. To walk in and see their counter fully stocked with hand-made, from-scratch baked goods is truly anexperience. The fact that the owner is a personable and caring young female entrepreneur just makes the entire space moreimpressive, topped off with decor (and floors) that are second to none for spending a cool afternoon with friends or gettingsome work done away from home. If you are used to eating frozen or store-bought baked goods at other cafes, stop in at theUnderground Bake Shop and see what it truly means for something to be baked with love. Read more

I've been in love with this little bakeshop since the moment I first stepped in. Now, I have to stop in every morning when I'm... on day shift. Evelyn, her mom Colleen and the rest of the staff are always so sweet and so inviting. The aromas of freshlybaked, heavenly goods when I walk in the door are so addictive. The love child's/love babies (croissant/muffin hybrids) arejust... Mindblowing. Oh, and the egg salad sandwich was the best I've ever had. Underground Bake Shop, you guys are fantastic. You have a lifelong customer in me. Read more

If you're looking for a cup of your favourite coffee and pastries, be sure to stop at this shop. The croissants, muffins, and... cookies are so good that I want to go back. My favourites were the sweet and salty croissants and the cinnamon/sugar croissant. Read more

So so so thrilled to have found this bakery & cafe when we drove in to the nearby sunflower farm. The team working here is just... delightful and warm, and the iced coffee (with frozen coffee cubes) is one of the best you?ll have! We paired it with theselittle croissant bites (perfect blend of sweet and savoury) and took some freshly baked focaccia for the road. We willdefinitely be back to this gem ?? Read more

Passed this little gem by accident on our way for coffee in ?downtown? Beaverton. The storefront is unassuming?.but as soon as... you set foot inside ?.it hits you! That FRESH-BAKED, made with love smell. Everything looks AMAZING! The young man workingtoday, Owen was VERY HELPFUL and POLITE. He made a variety of GREAT suggestions for us. Apparently they are known for almosteverything. Their CROISSANTS- shaped like muffins are INCREDIBLE! They had at least 4 kinds of MUFFINS. The muffin called ?Breakfast Smoothie? was as delicious as it was creatively named. So was the ?Mixed Berry? muffin! I thoroughly dislike eggs, but their Quiche LOOKED so good?I almost forgot I hate eggs. They make coffee in house but I can not attest to its quality, but I would be very surprised if it wasn?t also great. We bought Croutons, A loaf a Bread, 3 Croissants, and 2 muffins today. Best of all?.we escaped for just over $20.00. Probably would have paid at least $5.00 more and still been completelysatisfied. We were somewhat hopeful that we might have run into Evelyn to see the genius behind this masterpiece, perhaps maybenext time! We WILL be back!!!!! Read more

Small local to Beaverton Bakery, always good to see some new businesses opening even with Covid still ravaging small... business. The area is crisp, clean and cozy and the staff are super friendly. We tried the cc cookies, rice crispy squares, butter croissants and a Lovechild (cruffin). All of the pastries were tasty, we polished them off in the parking lot with astore brewed London Fog and a Cappuccino. Will be back to try the bread and muffins another day....???????? Read more

All of the baked goods that we?ve tried have been great?cookies and artisan loaf (pictured). The iced coffee also rivals... anything I?ve had in indie coffee shops in Toronto. This is a lovely family-run bakeshop and is worth the visit. Read more
