Reviews for The Shortis|s Cafe|Bar in Beaverton, ON
Visited this little gem for the second time and was again very impressed. It was a slight detour on our way to the cottage so we... stocked up for a week?s worth of treats. Needless to say, they were all devoured in a few days. The staff was friendly andattentive. The latte and cappuccino to go were hot and delicious! We had the mini apple pie (yummy and so beautifullypresented); a blueberry scone (the lightest and fluffiest scone I?ve ever had); a few squares (date and Dolly - so yummy!); andseveral extra large cookies (chocolate chip, ginger and a nutty/seedy one). We loved them all! The ginger cookies had realpieces of ginger (such a nice addition). If I had one disappointment, it would be that they had no peanut butter cookies left. Ihad sampled one on our first visit and absolutely loved it! We will definitely visit again! Read more

Great, fresh coffee and delicious sandwhiches! Ive had their espressos and Americano and they taste great and were freshly made... on the spot and served piping hot. Their egg salad sandwich is made with the perfect egg salad mix, topped with fresh lettuceand served in a fluffy, buttery croissant. I also tried one of their dessert squares (I think it had the name "Molly" in it). It's very rich and actually quite big, so it's perfect for sharing. The baristas and staff are all so nice and always smiling! Read more
We visited today on a whim. We like trying out different coffee places, and saw that this place reviewed VERY WELL. When we... arrived, the place was small but neatly decorated in a kind of patina meets trendy feel. The ladies working were very efficientand friendly. They recommended ?lattes? which is apparently their most popular drink. They have a couple ?milk alternatives?which is nice to see, but we stuck with good, old-fashioned milk. Pricing is what one might expect of a small nicer coffeeshop, well worth what we paid, (about $9) for 2 Lattes. We found the coffee to be AROMATIC, HOT and TASTY! We would CERTAINLYreturn! Thank you. Probably one of the best London Fog and Cappuccinos we have tasted. But if caffeine is not your thing (I am sorry for you) try... the cookies because they are off the chain, the peanut chocolate chip is our favorite. Drinks are a little on the pricey sidefor the size but again the quality can't be argued. Will definitely be back to try more. Read more

This hidden gem is incredible; the perfect spot for a coffee with friends. I had the lavender latte - and it was delicious. The... ginger molasses cookies were fresh out of the oven and delectable. My children loved the Italian sodas and devoured their lemonblueberry muffins. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The cafe's charming decor is inviting and it is clear that the ownersconsidered EVERY detail when designing this quaint, little spot. I can't wait to go back -- I'll be getting the Chai Tea Latteand Lemon Merengue tart. Read more
Baked goods are amazing! Nice staff I would rate the baked goods 5 stars..the coffee, Americano.. however was not up to Par and... tasted weak almost hotel like which meant I took a star off...UPDATE! ITS NOT ONLY ME THE AMERICANO IS WEAK. According to agreat friend of mine who, unprompted; complained to me about it. I will still go back and revise this after a couple morevisits as it might have been an off day to be fair. That being said, definitely go there as it's great to see a local Cafe inbeaverton with home made goods. The blueberry scone was award worthy.the ambiance has an industrial vibe. Warehouse and edgy yetcomfortable. NEW UPDATE: as suggested in their reply, I asked for a stronger Americano today. It just isn't there yet. Againthe baked goods looked delicious and the cookie was excellent. So what to-do? As being in the top 10% of Google cafe raters isit really fair to knock off a star for one type of Drink?(that sounds a bit extreme)Instead I will visit again and try two othertypes of Coffees. I've heard the Lattes are amazing. And the patrons are happy. Keep visiting them! it is a warm and welcomedplace in Beaverton. Read more
