The salad bar was pretty good. Service was great. However the buffet was lacking. The ribs weren't very good. I don't know why... the chicken was sitting in what looked like water and had a green color to it. Maybe the seasoning but I didn't try those. Thelasagna bake was cold. The price we paid we were pretty disappointed. The waitress was great and we didn't complain to her. Weprobably won't go back though. My Grama loves her food and was very disappointed as well. First time at Nikki's and I can say that we are fans! The salad bar is the best looking and appetizing that I have seen in many... years! Soups and salads were delicious and oh my!....the open faced meatloaf sandwich was fantastic! The waitresses we'refriendly and attentive. My wife & I have been looking for a great salad bar in mid-Michigan area for 3 years and finally got a recommendation for this... place right near Wixom Lake. WOW, what a great place! Wonderful soup & salad bar. And best unexpected surprise? Best PerchDinner ever!!! Most perch dinners around mid-Michigan are kinda fishy tasting. Not Here! So Good, just melts in your mouth. Andno tarter is needed either. Staff is so friendly & accommodating. Best 30 min drive of our lives with our mouths salivating allthe way there! We used to love this restaurant! Probably wont go back after today's experience. First we waited almost 40 minutes after... ordering to get our food. The group that came in after us had already ate and were leaving when our food was coming out. Secondthe menu stated 3 piece fish when I got my plate it was only 2 pieces. When I asked about it I was told sorry sometimes the fishis bigger than other times so 2 pieces is what you get by the waiter. Would've been one star but one waitress was nice about itand offered another piece by then I was frustrated and didn't want anything else. Not once was offered a discount or anything.Wish this place would go back to the way it was 5-6 years ago. Read more
The Wixom Lake Poker Run had just finished when we came in for dinner. A party of 8. The staff did a great job keeping up with... the tables considering the restaurant was full. The meals were good, except for the ribeye - stay away from a steak. Burgers,fish, and Alfredo are the go to items. Two people at the table got the buffet and seemed to be satisfied with it. This place has been here for years and was always just ho hum drum de dum...But the new owners have gotten a cook in the back... that knows his biz. He will cook what you want how you want...Limp Bacon..No problem... Mid well burger?? no worries. Like asteak that moos like I do?? It will try to get away from you if you like it that way.
