I've been here 4 times in the past 45 days. Everything I've had has been excellent. Even the salsa & chips are really yummy! I... got the Special Lunch #18 Pollo Fundido (chicken burrito) twice - which is a really good burrito. And I got the Tacos Patron -once with chicken and once with beef - and both versions were really good. The Tacos Patron come with either beans or rice (therice is the best I've had at any local Mexican restaurant), a small bowl of very yummy verde salsa plus a grilled jalapeno. Picsof the menu are included. The parking lot is fairly tight for bigger vehicles - and that's the only negative I have - which hasnothing to do with the quality of food in this wonderful restaurant!! We ordered Pancho villa med well. And it looked like it didn't even hit the grill. The steak and the bacon was all pink. My... fiance got the Pollo Ranchero with no bell peppers. With sour cream. Hers had bell peppers and didn't get her sour cream. Calledto see what to do about it and offered a 10$ refund. I didn't even get to eat mine at all she luckily just picked her peppersoff but was a very very unsatisfied situation. She's off work once every 2 weeks and was suppose to be a little date night forus movies at home with a nice dinner.and definitely didn't have a good night dinner for us. Very disappointed ???? This was our first time going to Don Patron and it will not be our last! Our server was amazing and we were greeted immediately... (unlike Chuys where we sat for 15 minutes as the only customers there and were never greeted once sat). The food came out hotand fast and my goodness, the portion sizes left us with a bunch of leftovers! We never had to ask for refills. Our new favoriterestaurant! Molcajete - I had to look it up. A Molcajete is like a Mexican stone mortar and pestle. They essentially take a cornucopia of... meats (chicken, steak, carnitas, chorizo, shrimp) and saucey flavors and heat them in this big stone chalice. It comes to yoububbling hot (I wish I could show you the video) with a side plate of the usual beans, rice, guacamole, pico de galla, sourcream, etc, and tortillas. It’s twice the price as the average meal on the menu and so much food that I assume it’s meant tobe shared. I seriously don’t know why more reviewers aren’t talking about this, it’s amazing! And for someone trying tocut back on carbs, it’s perfect; I just skipped the tortillas and rice. And since no one wanted to share it, I had 2/3rds leftto take home. If I wasn’t watching carbs I’d probably reheat it with some chips and make fantastic nachos! My kids saidtheir dishes were good too. In fact they were so satisfied and full they refused fried ice cream - their favorite. My margaritawas just okay. Our server seemed like she was having a hard day - or maybe she was new and training, it was also the end of thenight. In any case, service was fine and food came out in a descent time considering I ordered a specialty item. I appreciatedthe large high backed booth.
