Went to the chicken shack today staff is so wonderful kind and very eager to meet your needs I ordered a 16 piece it was so... delicious so hot fresh the macaroni and cheese was so cheesey and the collard greens were so very good thank you for a greatdinner I will continue my business here great job team!!! I stopped here while driving through PA. The chicken was too spicy for me but it was pretty good. The staff was fantastic.
The 5 stars are for the chicken only. The chicken, fries, bake beans, green beans was amazing the mac and cheese was tasteless... over cooked noodles, corn bread was dry, potato salad tasted like some sort of chemical, all the tables were dirty and sticky(Even though they just opened at 3.) The people working here are always very pleasant. The chicken waffle bites are tasty especially dipped in the warm maple syrup... that accompanies them. Mashed potatoes and potato salad are also very satisfying. Unfortunately the greens, while very tender,were in a very, very salty brown broth. There was an aftertaste I can't put my finger on. Beef maybe? I've attached a picture. Iremoved most of the greens to get a better look at the liquid. Not something I would try again. The corn muffin that came withthe meal was so incredibly dry it turned to crumb dust the minute I tried to pick it up. While not everything was on point withthis meal they do make the best chicken in the valley and I'd order just chicken from here anytime. Read more
