Reviews for Lemon Wolf Cafe in Beaver Bay, MN
This food is very well made!! We got chicken Alfredo and beef enchiladas and salad and it was delicious!! Right when we walked... in there was the owner telling a story and that was cool. My husband and I had a very long day and we loved coming to a cozy, very relaxed, and fun environment place to eat. Very satisfied! Read more
Amazing breakfast Sammy. Best French toast! Asked for crispy bacon and he nailed it! Even offered to fill our water bottles.
Went here for lunch one day and breakfast the next. There is a limited menu right now. The fish sandwiches were a single filet,... so it did have a couple of tiny bones. The side of wild rice soup was delicious. The breakfast sandwich was on some hefty toastwith a big piece of sausage. They close for a couple of hours between lunch and dinner, so plan accordingly. It was cash onlywhen we came, but our groupins worked. Read more
This restaurant had amazing food! Excellent customer service and a very down home feeling. The owner who is the cook has a lot... of cooking talent! He takes a lot of pride in his cooking. As well as the service they give. I know this because he took thetime to personally come out and ask how our food tasted. He make all of his own homemade desserts, bread and dinner rolls. I hadan amazing 12oz steak. And don't forget to try the homemade margarita cake. Five stars hands down! If you look closely you mighteven notice a bear peering in the window (see photos for evidence)! ; ) Read more
Food is fine; basic. Service is fine. They seem to be struggling with staff, hours, cash flow and internet. Staff was having a... meeting and discussing finances right in the dining room. I?m pretty sure they don?t have internet because it was cash only. Read more
The food was delicious! The burger was one of the best I've had. Unfortunately, it was a bit inconsistent, and the others in my... group had overcooked burgers. It was still great. The service was interesting. On one hand, the employees and owner were allsuper friendly. The owner came out and told the story of their mascot to a kid, and that story is in the process of beingpublished as a children's book. Everyone was super nice. On the other hand, however, the problems with being a small businessdid shine through a bit. We had to wait an hour for food, and they were out of fish, fries, and probably some other stuff. Thecooking is was inconsistent as I mentioned before, but delicious when cooked right. I loved this place, its atmosphere, itsworkers, and its charm. I really want to give it five stars, but the service was something that I had to mention. I can't waitto come here in the years to come, and I'm guessing that this place will get the hang of getting the service right over time. Iwould definitely recommend this place if you have the time, but this isn't the place for a quick meal. 6/7. Not perfect, but Iloved it regardless. Read more
We ordered a biscuits and gravy, extra sausage, and a grilled chicken sandwich with onion rings. The b&g came with seasoned... fries, which was unexpected but awesome since the extra carbs were needed for two hikers that had just come off the trail. Thesausage was actually sausage patties on top of the biscuits, covered in gravy. Different than what we expected but still verygood. The chicken sandwich was pretty good too. Best part about the experience was the waitress. She was awesome! Very funny, talkative and was running the front nearly by herself. Decor was amazing also-worth it just for that. Original paintings, stained glass by local artists. Everything was unique down to the silverware. Edit to add: I nearly forgot: they make and sellbaked goods also. Totally worth it to get something as you leave. We got a lemon kolachi and a large snickerdoodle cookie thatwere both delicious! 2nd edit: Stopped in and had French toast the next morning. It was awesome. The morning waitress was alsogreat. Read more
Small cafe serving up homemade dishes in a cozy unassuming space. Soup and salad were exceptional, fresh and flavorful. The... entrees were decent, but my fish was average and so full of bones it was nearly inedible, watched another table toss theirs tothe side. Rated highly because there is literally nothing else in the area that was open except the dining room at Cove PointLodge witch didn?t have an opening. Give it a try if you?re in the area, avoid the herring. Read more
