Fun spot for lunch or a quick bite. Very casual and laid back. Nice marsh view, also had outside seating. Food was very good.... Loved the free Hushpuppy appetizers. Light, crispy slightly sweet batter. Very fluffy inside. My CrabbyPatty was quite good.Burger with just the right amount of crispy side bits from cooking a d crab patty had a good amount of crab. OMG.???? Bait and Switch. THIS IS SOUTH CAROLINA. This plate should have made me cry from ALL ancestors. But instead it made... them all roll in their graves. Flavorless fish. Improperly breaded shrimp. The oil was not drained good. The grit?s ???? were a4 out of 10. I?m surprised they don?t use stock or broth to add flavor. It?s taste like they were good before someone stretchedthem out with water. The cole slaw 6 out of 10. Hush puppies were the best thing! A mostly fried fish, shrimp, seafood restaurant. Fish and shrimp had a light fried coating that was good. The coleslaw was a... good blend of cabbage and a tasty dressing. The fries had a fried coating that wasn't necessary and just okay. Overall it's abasic fried seafood restaurant, with crab legs and crab cakes, and was just okay. First time here and definitely not the last..... The service was EXCELLENT The view is BEAUTIFUL To be honest I didn't have... high hopes going in. It OVER EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS ?????? The place was spotless, the manager on point, the food is good andthe Damn Yankee IPA ICE COLD.... I can't forget the very well made drink. We have driven by Gilligan?s every time we come to visit this areas an always say that one day we will stop in to eat there.... Well today was the day. We first got out of the car an walked around the parking lot looking at the scenery an decided to take apicture at their sign. While we were out there the manager came out an asked if she could help an take the picture of our groupso we could all be in it at once. She was super nice an went above an beyond to help take our picture. She also checked on us anall the other guests several times throughout our meal. Top notch customer service. Our waitress, Anysa (please forgive me ifI?ve misspelled) was amazing. She continually checked on us without being overwhelming, gave helpful advice about menu items,kept our drinks refilled, remembered everything we asked for, and did everything in a timely manor. Excellent customer serviceas well. Now onto the food.. there were four of us an we all had amazing food! Hands down the best tasting hush puppies I?veever had. My husband said the fried shrimp were the best cooked an flavored he?s ever had. The fish was battered an friedperfectly. I could go on an on. Literally everything was delicious an super fresh. Oh an the mozzarella sticks. Just wow. Trustme an don?t skip out on those. The restaurant was clean and tables all freshly wiped down. The restrooms were clean well. Allthe staff was very nice an we didn?t have to wait long to be seated or for our food. We thoroughly enjoyed everything from thetheme of the restaurant an fish tanks, to the amazing staff, an especially the food! We will most definitely be back on our nexttrip.
