Very delicious high quality southern food. Service was nice, albeit a bit slow. Very accompdating to dietary restrictions. We... got the roasted portobello appetizer which was surprisingly delicious. Then we got roasted eggplant and shrimp and grits. Keylime pie for dessert was very light and one of the best we?ve ever had. The wine list is nice! I love this restaurant in Beaufort, NC! The restaurant has three levels, each with different atmospheres and experiences. You... can dine inside or out, and there is a rooftop bar with water views. Quite the ?foodie? gem in Beaufort! Casual/Classy & Swanky, some of the best food to celebrate your special occasion or just... have the best deserts in town! Everything was so delicious and good we went almost every night we were there. We showed up for a drink at 3PM after a walk through the nearby beach and Ft. Macon. The hostess seemed disinterested and said... we should go to the bar. After getting there and ordering a drink, we went outside to enjoy the beautiful warm Spring weather onthe deck. There were several other people doing the same. All of us were surprised at how no staff came out! Finally around3:45, the hostess came out and said they'd be serving dinner at 4! So one star off for assuming, and not telling us, that therewas no service in the afternoon. In fact, the upper deck wasn't open at all because of staff shortage, but I think everyoneunderstands that. We did enjoy great service from Taylor, who was professional, friendly, and gave us good recommendations onwines. We enjoyed the hummus, but added carrots and celery because the lavash crackers didn't last! Because it was a bit early,we both shared the beautiful and tasty "60 South" Salmon! Very different side dishes, but an interesting addition to the salmon,which was cooked perfectly. Taylor kind of talked us into the Carrot Cake, which had all the usual ingredients, but includedpineapple- excellent!! We went for the brunch after church last Sunday. The waitress was first class. The food was amazing. I had the chicken and... waffles. It wasn?t too much food. Sometimes chicken and waffles can be overwhelming. This was the perfect amount of food for abrunch. Well thought out. My two boys ate all their waffles and the side of bacon had so much flavor. I?ve never tasted baconquite that good. I tried my wife's side of cheese grits and those were great as well. I usually don?t like grits but these weretasty! Read more
Gastronomical epicurean delight! Basically, the food from starters to finish desserts, was Awesome! The seafood was cooked... perfectly and was most definitely fresh. One of their entrees... "Special Shrimp and Grits" was one the best I have eaten! Soflavorful! Four different dinners, all were delicious. A side of collared greens with tobacco onions... Boom!
