Clawson’s has an awesome history, specifically the building which is located on Front Street in Beaufort, as well as delicious... food! Clawson’s is a restaurant and pub in a building that dates back to the late 1800s. The building has changed from asaloon to a grocery store, to a restaurant…and probably a couple of things in between. Since it was 11:30 AM, we didn’torder any adult beverages (I know it was 5 o’clock somewhere). However, we did order the Mac & Cheese which is extra cheesyand topped with fried shrimp, bacon, and scallions. It was amazing! We also ordered the Mahi Mahi which came with smallpineapple on top all while both sitting on a mixture of wild rice and sweet corn succotash. The Mahi Mahi was cooked perfectlyand the dish goes well together! I’d certainly order it again! As good as the food was, the atmosphere is even better (whichis why we took and posted so many pics - sorry for the shadows on the menus, we sat in a darker booth, which we loved). As wewere leaving, the manager gave us a great recommendation…sit in a different section each time, which we will do because wewill definitely be back! Read more
Great food and great service. Pleasant atmosphere. While not the least expensive place, one can select modestly priced items... from the menu that could fit most budgets. One can also select from fresh local seafood cooked to perfection at a moderateprice. Read more

I dont like seafood but the wife does so we came to try this place. The staff was personable and welcoming. The crab dip was... good it come with flat bread crackers. Burger was cooked exactly how I asked. Shrimp Mac and cheese should minus the bacon(personal preference. The food came out fast and was filling. My only complaint is that my fries taste fishy. They are probablycooked in the same oil. Read more
