Reviews for The Engleside Inn and Restaurant in Beach Haven, NJ
What a great night. Made reservations and were seated and greeted right away. The staff has always been very friendly and the... bar tender is the best Drew. Food came out hot and very delicious. The quality and the culinary experience has never changedover the years. Always a 5 star place to go when in Beach Haven. Read more
LBI is known for fine dining. At the Engleside, you can expect a great meal (especially if seafood is your preference) without... feeling rushed or overcharged. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. They assist us with arrangements for our familymember with a walker. The sushi bar offers a special treat with their unique and fresh and offerings. It is our favoriterestaurant on the island! Read more

Sat at the bar and had to look at the dirty dishes and other people\'s slop. This is totally unacceptable in any food... establishment. The food was good, bartenders very nice, just had difficulty flagging them down to pay and leave. I would neverorder sushi here, sushi chef was talking to customer about his order while holding plate of sushi near his chin and I couldactually see spittle from his mouth flying out. YUK!! Many years ago my best friend\'s dad who worked in a restaurant, said ifyou knew what went on behind the scenes in a restaurant, you\'d never go out to eat. Read more

Took a quick day trip to the Jersey Shore and decided to stop at the Engleside Inn for dinner. The food was great but what stood... out to me the most was the amazing customer service, particularly from one of the hostesses, Julia. Julia was incrediblyfriendly and did a phenomenal job of working with my party and I to get the table we wanted and to ensure that we had an overallgreat experience. I would definitely recommend stopping here for a bite to eat and wanted to extend my thanks to thisextraordinary young lady and the rest of the hardworking staff at the Engleside inn! Read more
(Indoor restaurant)\nFood 6.8/10 prime rib special was great, shrimp tempura was fun. Crab cakes were packed with crab but could... use some better breading.\nDrinks 5/10 had one send back. Not sure they are using fresh citrus.\nAmbiance 6/10 we were placed inthe back room due to a late reservation. Felt far away. From everyone.\nPrice 5/10 reasonable\nStaff 8/10 apologetic,sweet\n\nI?d go back to drink at the pool bar and listen to live bands on the weekends in the summer! Read more
This was my first time at the Engleside and over all I was impressed.\nThis may sound silly to some, but it means a lot to me... with restaurant prices these days. They give you rolls. So many places don\'t.\nI started with oysters. They were cleanlyshucked with all the liquor left in the shell.\nI had the Sea Bass. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The presentation was abit clunky kind of 80s like. The important part was the cook on the fish was spot on.\nMy wife had the duck. The flavor profilewas amazing. She wanted it mid well and that is exactly what she got. I was disappointed in the fact that the skin wasn\'tcrispy. I think it was in the window a little bit too long. We were a 13 top and they were slammed so I let it slide.\nI willgo back and explore their menu. Read more
