Always great food at this small business off the I-10, just wish the stuffed baker didn't have BBQ sauce mixed with the chopped... beef.. and you better get there early if you want a baked potato, once their gone,, their out!! you have to wait until nextday. My husband and I loved the smoked meats here! I was drawn to the restaurant during my call prior to visiting. Melissa, most... courteous cashier/attendant ever, informed me that the eatery would be closing in "20 minutes". I explained that we were justleaving our warehouse at 610E. and Wallisville Rd. approximately 35 minutes away and Melissa stated they would make my order andkeep it warm whiles I make the trip to them 25 mins. after their actual close My, how nice?!! I stopped by here on an out of town work trip. I try a lot of bbq places in my travels. This place was one of the best. I... had the two meat plate with ribs and sausage. The meat was excellent, particularly the ribs. The beans were good, and Ireally liked the coleslaw, which tasted homemade. Portions were good, prices are reasonable. Confused = Me My spouse and I are staying nearby for a week and looked up local eateries. The reviews on this place were... stellar. I thought I'd found a freaking hole in the wall gem. But no. That was not the case. Reason for 2 stars: One of theonly options around, good service, tasty BBQ sauce. Why no more stars: I didnt like a single meat option. Neither of us didactually. The jalapeno sausage and brisket dipped in BBQ sauce is the only 2 things we'd eat again if we had to go back. Sadly,I'm not planning on doing that again. I love food. I didnt get all my extra lbs by eating veggies. Im a born and raised Texan.If you like, love, or heck have even had okay Texas BBQ and want it again, dont go here. We went here the other Friday night. The loaded brikset baked potatoes are overpriced at $14. They dont even give you real bacon... bits. Drive 4 mins up main street to Backdraft BBQ and get their loaded brisket baked potatoe with REAL bacon bits for only$10. The only thing 4 corners has going for it is that its good BBQ sauce with a smoky flavor. Say no to fake baconbits....lol What BBQ joint in Texas considers themselves respectable and then uses FAKE bacon!!!??C'mon guys!! Read more
