Tarboosh is family owned and family operated. I went here once when I first moved to Bayonne and then again when I found out... that it's owned and operated by one of my students and his family. The food is exceptionally good and the owner and his sons arewonderful human beings who deserve your patronage. They have probably the best choice for middle-eastern cuisine in Bayonne andthey offer later night meals for people during the holy month. Eat here, without delay. Read more
Tried Tarboosh a weeks ago. We got the Lamb Shish Kabob Platter & the Chicken Shawarma Platter. Everything was so subtly yet... beautifully spiced. It came with extra pita bread in a basket for us to share. We also asked for extra garlic sauce. I had thislovely drink from here which I forgot to click a picture of - Licorice Iced Tea - it was red in color and had a nice refreshingtaste. I didn?t get the ?authentic? Lebanese taste though. The service is good, but food took a lot of time despite not beingcrowded. Pita, garlic sauce everything came towards the end of our meal. Like - we couldn?t really enjoy everything togetherbecause of these minor delays. Over all, the food is good and a place I would definitely visit again. Read more
I've eaten at a lot of Lebanese/Turkish restaurants in my time and I have to say that this one takes 1st place amongst them all.... Everything I ate was spot on delicious and kept me wanting more. The establishment does not look like much from the outside butlet me tell you, there is some serious magic going on in that kitchen. This is one of those hole in the wall places that willalways deliver. The staff are the most friendly I've ever encountered. They took care of us from the moment we walked in to themoment we walked out. Always asking if we are okay, if we need anything, how the food is. We dug in to the mix grill platter fordinner. The meat was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The rice was to die for, and that garlic sauce, woooooooo. OMFG that garlicsauce is like an addictive drug. I highly recommend giving this place a visit and plan on staying for more that an hour. Yes,the food is that good. And if you get the chance, hit up the fridge and try that lemon mint soda. Let's start with the food. Once i smelled it i couldn't resist. I ordered to go but had to sit an eat because it looked and... smelled so delicious. The food was as good as it looked i highly recommend it. It seems to be family owned, very courteous andprofessional. As you can see in the picture i cleaned the plate that's how good it was. My family came here (7 people) the service was great, everyone is so friendly and the food is amazing. Prices here are amazingly... reasonable for such a good quality and portions. I am a big Mediterranean food fan and this is one of the best kebabs platter I have ever eaten around this area. I entered late... at the restaurant but the owner was very accommodating. The meat was well marinated and cooked. You can taste the smokiness andcrispness of the meat on the outside while being juicy on the inside. The restaurant was also clean with a traditional aura.Would highly recommend. 10/10 Read more
