This was my first experience at a "hot pot" Asian restaurant. Went to their Bay Shore location. It did not disappoint. Plenty of... food and a great experience cooking it at the table. Our waiter was very helpful and attentive as well. I'd definitely go back.I may try the Smithtown location next. Read more

Great first experience at JBBQ! Food was absolutely delicious. They give you a lot and it?s definitely worth what you pay for... doing all you can eat. It was fun cooking our own food!! Just a few things to know before going: they don?t take reservationsfor only 2 people. If one person in your party orders the hot pot and BBQ price then all of the table must do the same. And abig one to remember: portions are big! They give you big plates of meat to cook. Next time I would go easier on the amount ofmeats we order. Sauces and appetizers were delicious (all included in AYCE) and the staff was very attentive and helpful withcooking times and getting things started for us. This is a great date spot and it would totally be fun to go on a double datehere. Will definitely return. Read more

Took my mom here for her birthday and she absolutely loved it. I've been to similar places before, both in the city and while I... was living in Japan. Our server was excellent and the food was marinated to perfection. Our only issue was we might have orderedjust a bit to much ????! I highly recommend the chili pork belly and ribeye cubes. I was really happy that they had takoyaki asone of their appetizers, as it's one of my favorite foods. My mom's first time having one and she couldn't get enough. Thetables were a bit small, so if you have a bigger party 3+, its a little hard to balance our the food (though this is a commonproblem for these types of establishments), thankfully they have a cart right on hand to place your food on. We can't wait toreturn! ???? Read more

We made reservation for 3 and I brought an extra guest so a total of 4. They were nice to accommodate the 4th guest. Instantly... we spelled a great aroma of Korean BBQ and we were all excited. They have all you can get for both soup and bbq which was great.Heads up it needs to be a group decision to have soup so you cant just have one person soup and bbq. We all chose bbq and theyhad menu of all the meats. The waiter was great and all but I felt like he was attentive because nearby clients were gettingtheirs meats and veggie faster and we had ro wait for our orders. Once he arrived back he would send over the meats quickly, butwe had to wait for him for like 15-20 minutes every time we ran out of meats. So be sure to order as much meats earlier becausethey disappear for quite a while. I assume to help other customers. Drinks were awesome and food was great with a lot of spices. Our 90 minutes were up and we spent like 30 minutes all together waiting for our meats. Read more
